Thanks for the encouragement everyone! It's good to know things are going well, sometimes its hard to get a reading from the nurses, although bless them they're very kind and helpful.

Good luck to you too Huey, may we slay this dragon once and for all!

Hi Mopey,

I would be delighted with a 3 log drop after 4 weeks of Peg/Riba. The plan is to be Undet. at week 12, and your odds are looking good. Remember this is not Sovaldi!

Keep on truckin'. Cheers.

Don't be sad, Mopey.  Maybe that's just the way her face looks.  :)  The important thing is that you are trying and that the odds are in your favor.  Good luck!

A 3 log drop sounds positive !  Could well be UND next test  Best of luck with that.

Hi everyone,

I completed 6 weeks of treatment today, and I recently got the results back from my 4 week VL test. Initial VL was 469838, and after 4 weeks it was 158. I was pretty happy with a 3 log drop, but the nurse seemed disappointed that I wasn't undetected. Maybe I'm reading too much into her reaction, because she did say that overall it was a positive outcome. I suppose that because I have liver damage, it makes me more treatment-resistant. They are testing me again at 12 weeks, and if I'm not undetected then they will stop treatment. They didn't mention what would happen after that, if that ends up happening, which is disconcerting. Fingers crossed!

Best of luck to everyone.
