Hi Malcolm  You are one of a kind and I really appreciate all the kind words and advice you gave me. I just came back from a fishing trip that I had missed during my treatment and it sure was a lot of fun. You take care of yourself . Terry

Hi Isiscat Yes my energy level is much better but still get tired at times .I went through a time were they told me I had that irritable bowel syndrome but that seems to be related to all of this because it has started to go away on its own . How are you doing? I have been reading posts on and off for some time but some don't seem to mention where they are at. I wouldn't post myself until I was given my last test and now I am in the hands of my own GP because Abbvie is finished with me. Send me a note and tell me how your doing

Hi Terry:

With those improved numbers your liver certainly appears to be functioning better.  That's very good news for all cirrhotics.  Do you feel better now?

Thx Tig56   People like yourself and Malcolm and Cinnamon girl made such a difference as I was going trough the bad stages of this trip. My hope was to show that even in the shape I was in this could be beaten and you could get your life back if you just believe and put in a bit of effort. I still get updates from many different HCV news outlets and things look really good for all the newcomers trying to get rid of this. The hospital that ran my trial told me that had ZERO relapses in our group so that is very positive. And a friends brother that I set up to get in a trial has just finished and now is 4 weeks SVR and very happy to be free of this. I think about all of you every day and smile because as we know it was a long journey but it was well worth the wait. You take care and I will be back...LOL

Hi Terry,

I'm so glad you dropped by to let us know your great news!! From the look of those test results, you've got a lot to smile about. Then there's the fibrosis reduction on your fibroscan, WOW!! That's fantastic news buddy and should be enough to bring a smile to many, many others here. I'm so happy you shared that with us! That's very promising for so many. We discuss it often and there's nothing better than first hand information like this. Keep up the positive attitude and by all means, please keep us informed of your progress. That's the stuff that really keeps us moving forward!! I wish you the best of luck my friend...

I haven't post on here in quite some time but still come to read the many stories that new people are posting. I can remember the start of my journey here and the state I was in and the fear we all have when we have be given the news about HCV. The great people on this site did their best to alleviate my fears and gave me some great advise. I got lucky to get on the Abbvie Turquiose II trial and spent six months working hard to get my health back. Starting as a stage 4 cirrhotic with a high viral load and ALT and AST readings about 150 things didn't work the way they should. My Fibro scan reading was 33-35 and the rest of my reading were also off. This week I just finished my final tests and with no HCC in my ultrasound and ALT/AST readings of 26/27 I was surprised to find out my Fibro scan had now dropped down to 20 so not perfect but a lot better then when I started. I wanted to post a thank you to all that have helped me get to this stage because you sure need a good support group to help you along the way. This should make you all believe that this can and is being beaten with just a little hard work and the help from all that frequent this board. Keep up the hard work and we can all enjoying being free from this virus.
