MELD is not calculated by Biopsy.

it is calculated by

Using Total Billirubin

Creatinine

and INR

and whether or not the patient is on dialysis

 

Here is the link it's spot on as I am able to calculate my own and it's exactly what the Transplant Center reports back to me each 3 months. Hope it helps !!

Hi,

For those who have asked; the Child-pugh level is determined on bloods and the level of ascites.  The MELD is calculated by results from a biopsy which I can't have as my clotting level is so low.

Hi Great to hear, Regular healthy diet "no supplements" That is what i am coaching going forward, That is what i am doing too.

  HCV Genotype 3a , now Psot-Tx was on S/riba. First VL was 5.8 mil on 7-5-13 then "und" at 3.8 weeks. 06/13/14 still und. off meds 3 days back on 7/29 Last pill 08/10/14 SVR+4

Congratulations Nirmalee! Each week is a wonderful accomplishment all by itself. Do you have a current C-P score? With an RVR, the likelihood of success is high. It's obvious that you're responding well and everything you can do to treat yourself right is another feather in your cap! Good luck!

Well, I have just finished week 8 and my 4 week test was UND.  Things have now settled down and my bilirubin level is down.  I am trying to get my Child-Pugh level down through diet and healthy things.
