The reason your difference is not the same is because ether you are drinking or taking something that is causing this, The Ativan most likely, However your levels are too low for it to be drinking and that is why i can say that it is most likely the Ativan but not for certain . I am not a Doctor and this info is intended to tell you how these liver enzymes test are looked at. it is only an example.

Due to a mix-up (again) my lab order for the 4 week test was botched, so I finally went in yesterday which was day 31 of my treatment and the viral load is not ready--of course but should be ready by Friday. This time it is being processed by Quest Diagnostics labs. However, I received my ALT/AST level and could not believe my ears when the nurse told me: ALT 11 and AST 17. This is despite the fact that I'm taking 4 mg of Ativan every night for sleep/anxiety issues!

It's amazing how quickly liver enzymes can improve during Tx. I was ecstatic to see mine in the twenties after four weeks. While the debate over cirrhosis/fibrosis regression is ongoing, reduction in liver inflammation during and after Tx can only promise good things going forward.  Certainly good news, Skewed!

the difference between 11 and 17 is 6, in past test has the difference been 6 ? This makes a difference. This does not take away anything from having those levels in normal range. I know i said difference three , now four times , i could not help it. lol.
