when i read that people who are f-4 are getting denied harvoni or any sovaldi based treatment... it gives me great sadness and alarm not only that they would do this to you or make it so you have to appeal and in person state are your symtoms and side affects but also mean for damn sure they will deny me in December when i go to ask cause im only and F-2.....

so ya im not liking seeing all these denials of treatments very discouraging ... I am treatment naive but everything i read here is uh making me very discouraged for the future :(

especially since i live in Oregon and we all know how anti expensive treatment they are ...

I hope your appeals go well I would exaust all roads to treatment and look into the Sovaldi mypath thing as a option... or who knows what ... but do not give up thats for sure... the future is bright abbie V and Merck are right on thier heals but that Harvoni looks very promising if we can just get past the BS of are insurance carriers ...

I wish you good luck my brothers and sisters :) my healthplan is OHP medicaid,,,,

I relapsed on solvaldi - is anyone else being denied Harvoni because of this?

I have been denied, can't say for sure the reason. The pharmacy denied me basically stating Harvoni's criteria for approval???  Never did get a legitimate reason for denial....only I must appeal.    I did see interim guidelines stating they would not cover for those relapsing on Sovaldi :

https://www.healthnet.com/static/general/unprotected/html/national/pa_guidelines/harvoni_natl.html  Right now different companies have different guidelines.
