Hey Jen,

Brain fog is definitely part of HCV in general and while in the IFN protocols it was very pronounced. I hope you're provided a bit of a break on the new meds. It was one of the more pronounced SFX of that Tx. It all clears up following completion.

Wow Jenn that could explain why I always felt like I had ADD.  Also, over the last year or so I have noticed that my memory is getting even worse and perhaps that is a symptom of the disease progressing.

Another thing to be grateful for...... I lost my mind..... but I am getting it back!! lol

We have seen quite a few people who experience this--almost a euphoria--on these new DAAs.  A few became downright giddy.  biggrin  Probably a combination of things happening.  I'm thinking they may do a little somethin somethin to our brain chemistry that causes mood elevation in some people.  The happy drugs.

Day7 and no problems . Today I was trying to get a headache and I just wasn't trying hard enough and it went away. LOL

My surgery incision is not doing great but it's not really infected. I got new bangages this morning.

Keflex is on day 3 and it's not bothering me either.

Cheers and a big hug

from Jen

Day #6 for me, and a bit of insomnia but it is nothing like past  treatments!  I too have been in "good spirits"

Jen congrats on starting your treatment.  I have been on Harvoni 2 weeks now.  I was worried about side effects especially the headaches but so far I haven't had any recognizable side effects.

My mood is definitely improved probably because I have alot of confidence that I will obtain SVR.

I am wondering if anyone has been experiencing adverse effects.

B161, yup, we are saving a seat for you!   Being on the long trip (24 weeks), I am hoping for a full train.  Don't want to travel alone

Just took my pill day #2... Slept well last night, woke up a few times but was able to go back to sleep!  That is on the plus side for me!  Maybe just trying to be be positive brings a person some peace...maybe coincidence, but I will take it!

166 days to go!

Hi, I haven't been active on the forum for a long time. I think my Dr. is going to want me to start Harvoni so I'll be curious to see how it goes for you. I'm geno type 1A and did the triple TX back in 2011. At 13 weeks I had to stop because of side effects (interferon is nasty stuff). So goos luck w/the new treatment!!

Hello B, good to see you around again!  Welcome back, and good luck!  smile

Today I took my first pill. I took it with food "breakfast" as the pharmacist suggested. She said it might cause sleeplessness so not to take it at night. There is a long list of medication not to take with it.

Here's to all of your first days on Harvoni.

Dragon? take THAT!

Jen
