Hey perry, glad you have the energy to run..... truly remarkable.    Hopefully the tx won't slow you down.  My father was stationed in New Zealand for a time during the war.  He always remarked how the folks there were so friendly and genuine.  He wanted to get back for a visit but never made it.  Good luck with your tx.

Cheers

So five years till the new drugs are available in NZ. Oz seems to be having this problem too. You can get all the new drugs in Scotland but not England...time to head north!

I'll certainly look into that, I'm anxious to read more on your story. Yes, the old club is still there and is "The Friday Night Dart Club" that used to be the most popular thread on the forum! It will be good (?) to get it back in the mix!

Be sure to let us know Friday when you take the first step. We'll be here if you need the support and as always we can offer some tips to deal with any SFX along the way. With the fibrosis, are you going to do 48 or start with 6 and see? You mentioned the possibility of the new protocols after 6 months, any word on that or just hopeful. It would be a new angle on Tx if you did that. Let us know. Good luck mate...

Thanks Tig. If you search FB for Perry's run America it should come up ( didn't mention anything about Hep C). Yes its the Inf/ Rib so have the first inject ( darts club isn't it?) on Friday. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It is 1 run I would be happy to do in the fitire to highlight the Hep C problem - still got a few ideas on the horizon for big ones although now is a good time to get health sorted.

Hi Perry,

Welcome back buddy! Wow! I'm impressed and very interested in hearing more about your run across the states! I'm sorry they didn't highlight it on my local news, so fill us in when you have some time. Do you have a blog or online journal that you kept during the run? Congratulations on completing such a feat!! You're truly an inspiration and quite the example of working through the adversity of HCV.

Good luck on your treatment. What's it going to be? IFN/RIBA? I completed 28 weeks of it and will be here to assist you along the way, if you need the help that is. Appears to me you can handle quite a lot and keep on running!!(bad pun I know) Keep in touch, I look forward to hearing more in the days ahead!

Tig

Hi Perry, Yes I do remember you talking about your run, and I thought to myself you must be in GOOD shape, also now knowing you have has C for 25 years that says a lot about you. The fact you ran across USA is amazing.  Glad your back home.  You story reminds me of a book on juicing I read a couple years ago called (fat sick and nearly dead) by Joe Cross.  Its about diet/weight loss and good health.Congrats on w/record Masters.   Get on that treatment, type 3 and 25 years don"t do well together.   I look forward to watching your progress.  RC

Hi all. Back again afater a few months. A few of you may remember that I was going to run across USA ( NY to LA). Well I succeeded in doing that in a ne wrecord ( masters) and have been back in NZ now for almost 3 weeks. Now to get started on trweatment - Drs were going to start me 3 months ago but talked them out of it til the run was over. Start on the old traditional regime this coming Friday so - with a bit of trepidation - looking forward to it and kicking this virus to you know where. Hope all are well
