Supplements during Harvoni treatment!

Hi Mena,

Welcome back, it's good to see you again. I hope this finds your husband doing better. I remember he had a lot of difficulty during treatment previously. Don't worry about the supplements right now. They are to be avoided while on treatment because they can and do alter the test results. There is a school of thought that questions the benefit of some supplements, but you should follow the advice of your doctor. If your husband obtains some beneficial results from their use, that's what is important right now. Good luck and I hope everything is going well for you both!

since stopping his previous treatment my husband has been taking the following supplements all with the doctor's approval.

Milk thisle ( reduced billirubin from 2.0 to 1.5 in 6 mo.)

cinnamon  ( Reduced glucose from 193 to 73     "        )

Turmeric

Vit. D        ( Increased level from 17 to 37          "        )

Multivitamin

fish oil

Anyway, when we went to see the doctor last week he looked over the list and the dosage and he said " I don't see a problem with continuing taking them during the treatment"!

Now reading some of the comments saying " NO SUPPLEMENTS" during treatment is making me a little concerned!

Mena
