I'm sure others will chime in, but I believe that you have nothing to worry about. Many foods have influence on the color of a person's stool or you may have got a bug that affects your stool color.

Hi TC,

First, congratulations on achieving SVR!!! That's fantastic news and you should be thrilled. I'm glad you dropped by to update us on your success! I'm sure the others will be equally happy to hear your news.

The stool problem can be caused by any number of things and if it has occurred following a stomach bug, that may be your cause. Anytime you have a question like this, you should check with your liver specialist. Have you ever had a problem with your gall bladder or bile production? Bile is normally responsible for the darker color we associate with our stool and when it's production is low, my thought goes in that direction. Many times illness can cause more or less bile production and you know where it ends up! I wouldn't think that it has anything to do with your SVR, so try and put that out of your mind. Best to give the doc a ring if you're having discomfort and worry. I'd keep an eye on it and if it continues or gets worse, I'd give them a call to update them and seek their advice. Hope you're feeling better soon.

Hey guys,

It has been a while since I have been here.  I have since achieved SVR.  Recieved the news on my birthday November 14th.  Just a few days ago I fell ill.  All of a sudden I got a stomach ache, chills, and no appetite.  I slept for two days and feel better but the appetite is still gone and I have pale yellow stools.  I am on day 3 of this.  I don't really feel sick just different.  I'm worried that the Hep C is back and showing its signs in this form.  Is this a possibility or am I freaking out.  I haven't gone to the doctor yet because I'm not feeling terrible and I have a Viral load follow up on Feb 3rd.  Am I just fighting a bug perhaps?  I thought this was food related before I saw the pale yellow SOLID stools.  That is whats freaking me out.  ANy help?

Thanks,

T
