I asked that same question about my treatment with Sovaldi/Olysio and I was told that only X amounts gets metabolized in your body. I still find this hard to believe and I had a very rough time on treatment and had to stop early. I weighed 125 pounds when I started treatment and I lost 7 pounds in 6 weeks. I now weigh 135 pounds (9.5 weeks post treatment).

However, most people do not have a problem with this new treatment regardless of weight.

I haven't started treatment yet but the one thing with Harvoni, unless I missed something is that everyone is dosed at the same level. I'm just curious if weight plays into whether or not you have any side effects.

I'm 100# right now give or take depending on how much gelato I ate that week (carmel yummmmy) but you sock me with the same dose of Harvoni as a 250# guy I wonder if it's going to whoop my butt.  I have heard some people complain about being neauous and having fatigue but not sure what their physical status or if other factors played into that or it's just the luck of the draw.  I certainly can't afford to lose any more weight & I don't want to be pulled off treatment because of it.

My Dr isn't allowing me back to work until I can get on treatment & am tolerating it because of my current health status so after fighting and waiting for the chance to take it I sure as heck don't want to have issues that would cause me to stop although from what I've heard that is darn rare.

Thanks to All &  Please Don't Forget About Those Less Fortunate during the Holidays & that includes our Furry Friends who Don't Have a nice Warm Home or Someone to Love them :(

Have a Safe & Healthy Merry Christmas, Blessed Pancha Ganapati, Happy Newtonmas, Joyous Kwanzaa, Frolicking Festivus, Happy Chanukah & Any I missed
