Hi Sue, I can't believe you've already finished treatment with Harvoni because it really seems like yesterday that Harvoni came into being. Regardless, congrats for making it through the 8 weeks. My philosophy when the negative thoughts come into my mind, like what if or what if, is to try and stay busy. Even just watching a movie helps. The lovely thing about time is that in 12 weeks we can say it seems like only yesterday...

Sue,

If I were you I would think way more on the side of you're going to be SVR than to think that you won't be. You were undetected at your 4 wk VL test, but you may have been UD as early as 2 weeks. So the Harvoni has had at least 4 and maybe as much as 6 weeks to finish off any possible remaining strands of virus and that's after the viral load test couldn't find any virus after 4 wks.

Thanks Bills.  Last pill is down the hatch.  My bloods are tomorrow and I know this one isn't that big of a deal.  Doc told me end of April is the important one.  Mean time I will just live.  Hope for the best and pray some.

Thank you both so much.  Yes dinner time is my last pill.  My son said to save the bottle.  It will remind me of my ability to overcome my fears.  I know the doctor said tomorrow's blood work isn't that important.  They know it will be UND.  The big one is april 28th.  If I can remain UND then the odds of relapse after that are very low or nil.  I will just move on with my life and hope for small improvements on my aches and pains that seem much worse since treatment started.  I appreciate you both and this forum.  I don't say much but I read everything and it helped me to get through treatment.

i apologize too for missing your post Sue! I've done that twice this week and I can't figure it out. My memory or attention to detail is slipping these days. Isn't getting old fun? Nah!

Congratulations for finishing treatment! I also remember your early days before and after starting tx. You were a bundle of nerves, but you proved to us all what you're made of! You got down to business and did it. Your attitude and commitment are to be commended. Seems we all go through some adjustment to these medications before, during and after Tx. You will  be no different but you're a stronger, more positive (and healthier) person as a result. Give yourself some time to readjust to life off of those powerful drugs and your body will normalize. If I can recommend something, do your best to remain positive. Don't even consider the thought of relapsing, don't give it the time of day. You were blessed with the opportunity to treat with the best of the best medication and you will be successful. My Magic 8 ball says so!! Good luck...

Hi Sue, sorry... your post must have been overlooked!

So today must be your last day on treatment...congrats on getting to the end!  I remember you had a few difficulties in the beginning and it`s great to hear that your stomach issues have cleared up now.

I know it`s an anxious time when you`re waiting to find out the outcome but I really don`t think you have anything to worry about.  You`ve been on the right tx plan considering you were tx naive, non-cirrhotic and had a pre-tx viral load of only 1.5 million, as you told us in your first post.

And as well as that you were UND at 4 weeks when you had your viral load test done which indicates that you`ve responded very well.

Try not to worry, be proud of yourself for completing your tx!  And think positive...onwards to SVR!!!  smile

All the best of luck!  ~ Jill

Monday is my last pill and I am overjoyed but worried.  If I had any choice I would be on it Harvoni another month.  I am concerned somewhat about the 8 week plan.  On the positive side of this treatment, I had suffered for well over 10 years with stomach woes.  Had an endoscopy ten years ago that showed gastritis and took high doses of Zantac for over a year.  It seemed to return almost once a year or more.  But daily had bloating, gnawing and just felt I didn't digest food right.  Since starting treatment that is gone.  So if all I gain is that I am happy for sure.  My feet and legs are killing me still and have been for about three weeks now.  Whether it is treatment related will been seen soon enough.  Hoping it goes away!   What would happen if I relapsed?  I was treatment naďve, 1b and between an F1-F2 liver wise on starting this.  Would I have to use Riba the next attempt at something?  Think positive Sue, think positive!  I am trying to anyway LOL.
