You should tell your doctor that you want an EOT viral load. That's an important morale booster for you. Protocol doesn't require it but it is commonly done to confirm your UND VL upon completion and then again at EOT+12. We have some here request one at EOT, +4, +8 and +12 and it's up to your insurance to approve or deny. They often approve the doctors request. So it's worth asking for if you want it. The doc works for you! Good luck, you'll be UND by the end. I'm sure of that!

 I was just reading on another forum (I'm not a member) There are are plenty of people that were detectable at 4 weeks but still achieved SVR.

One person was undetectable at 4 weeks and detectable at 6 weeks and still went on to achieve SVR. So I'm relieved. This is my first and last time for treatment......Roger

Thank you for the information.  I did try to push my GI for the full 12 weeks but he was insistent that the extra 4 weeks wouldn't be necessary.  He said the virus is gone after the first 4 weeks and an 8 week duration adds and extra 4 weeks just to make sure it stays dead.  I have faith that you and I will stay UND for the rest of our long happy lives.

So did your doctor tell you if you weren't UND in four weeks that the Harvoni isn't going to work for you?

I was prescribed Harvoni for 12 weeks. I did blood tests a  few days before I started treatment and my viral load was quite high at 15000000. I did another blood test at 4 weeks and the viral load had dropped very low but I don't know how low but I was still detectable. Doctor didn't stop treatment so I'm assuming that she still expects it to work for me. Am nearing the end of 6 weeks now. But my doctor doesn't want to do another blood test until 12 weeks after treatment. I'm not going to be able to wait that long for results! ........Roger

Recommandation is one pill per day.

2 DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
2.1 Recommended Dosage in Adults
HARVONI is a two-drug fixed-dose combination product that contains 90 mg of
ledipasvir and 400 mg of sofosbuvir in a single tablet. The recommended dosage of
HARVONI is one tablet taken orally once daily with or without food [see Clinical
Pharmacology (12.3)].

How should I take HARVONI?

• Take HARVONI exactly as your healthcare provider tells you to take it. Do not change your dose unless your healthcare provider tells you to.
• Do not stop taking HARVONI without first talking with your healthcare provider. If you think there is a reason to stop taking HARVONI, talk to your healthcare provider before doing so.
• Take HARVONI 1 time each day with or without food.
• If you miss a dose of HARVONI, take the missed dose as soon as you remember the same day. Do not take more than 1 tablet of HARVONI in a day. Take your next dose of HARVONI at your regular time the next day.
• If you take too much HARVONI, call your healthcare provider or go to the nearest hospital emergency room right away. 

Harvoni itself is always just one pill per day.  And same dosage for all everyone regardless of weight etc.  I finished an 8 week plan back in the beginning of Feb.  Good luck to you.  If I had to do it over again I would have fought from day one to increase it to 12 weeks just to be safe.  I am currently UND but won't know for sure if I didn't relapse till end of April.
