Hi Roey, I`m so sorry you`re having all this trouble, it`s the last thing you need when going through treatment and this is just not good enough.  Seems like it`s got unnecessarily complicated and a lack of good communication from your insurance company hasn`t helped at all.

It shouldn`t be like this and I really hope you get that phone call soon to confirm that you`ll be getting further supplies of Harvoni.

Please don`t despair, you`ll get through this and things will turn out ok one way or another.

Very best of luck!  ~ Jill

Hi Roey,

I'm sorry these yo-yo's keep messing with you. It's not right or fair any way you look at it. You have done everything you can to get this ball rolling again, so now you have to wait for the answer to come in the next few days. I'm glad you contacted PAN, I thought they would provide you some assistance. Can you ask them by chance if they will act as a go between with United Health? Give it a try. Your doctor is trying but you may benefit by calling twice a day to see if they have heard anything. Sometimes being a thorn in their side works!

Please don't worry about your son ending up an orphan. This is a slow progressing disease and if you end up having to discontinue this, you will get approved in the near future. Hopefully once they remove their head out of the stinky darkness. You may politely tell United Health that you have run out of options and will be talking to counsel, because they originally approved your treatment and their denial will likely result in the return or advancement of your illness and they are responsible. Be polite and factual. The truth and seeking a common sense decision from the people making the decisions at United Health will be both helpful and documented. Keep notes or a recording of the conversation to keep it straight in your mind. Does anyone else have a suggestion for Roey? She needs our help, let's do our best.

You feel free to keep us informed of everything. We're here to help you through this!

Tig xo             Better days ahead...

Dear harvoni family,  I have medicaid in NY its Unoted Healthcare Community Plan.   I got a letter from PAN allocating 20,000.00 towards my Harvoni.  I haven't been able to see one Penney of it because United HealthCare Community Plan keeps denying me for Harvoni.  It order for the PAN to take effect your primare insurance has to pay something.  I then called support path Guliead and they keep telling my Dr's office that they need this paper filled out and that paper filled out, endless hours spent waiting on the phone for some answer.  I only have 3 pills left and I'm suppose to be on HRvoni for 8 more weeks.  The last thing my Dr had to do was something called peer to peer. My Dr. Did that late last night and faxed the final denial from United Healthcare over to the ESR (emergency supply) a component of PATH SUPPORT Guilead.  Now I'm just waiting by the phone to hear if I'm going to get the Harvoni that I desperately need.   My son's Dad died when he was 16 I pRay to G D that he doesn'tn't wind up an orphan.   I will let you know the end result.  I feel like getting a lawyer and suing Gilead and United Healthcare Community Plan.  I'm at my wits end.  T Y for listening.
