Michaele,

That's great news! I'm sure you'll be UND and achieve your SVR! It has been very successful for most people and I expect that to continue. We'll be waiting to hear your good news! Good luck...

Hi Ro,

For a cirrhotic, your results are fine.

I'm not sure of the reference values for you Lab, but mine uses 30-115 for ALP. Yours is only up a bit which is common in cirrhotics.

Good to see the Albumin creep up. My Lab range is 3.5-5.0. Your value of 3.3 is getting close to normal.

Don't worry about small fluctuations. The VL is the only one that matters, and with another 8 weeks of Harvoni to go, you're looking good. Cheers.

Hi Ro, just got my labs back as well,  Most of my #'s remain good but the ALT/AST went up about 5 points.  Not sure why, and is a bit disconcerting.  Should get my quantitative RNA PCR results tomorrow.  Praying I remain UND.  Good luck Michaele, hoping SVR is in your future.

Hi Michaele,

Good to see you! Congrats on reaching your EOT!!! WOOT! How are you feeling? What have your labs been looking like? I'm sure you're glad to be done, but waiting for the EOT results can add some anxiety to the mix. But you're taking the best stuff available and you've done well so far. There's no reason to think anything but the best! Good luck...

Hi Ro,

I will respond and give you my opinion, but will refer this to Malcolm as well. I don't feel you have anything to be concerned about really. First of all these liver functions are well known to fluctuate during treatment. As the process progresses, your liver function is affected greatly by the action of the drug, as well as its effect on your metabolism. Many of us saw our numbers rise and fall during Tx. I have to tell you that we often asked the same questions, so a little anxiety is almost expected! I will point out that your ALK often fluctuates and 149 while elevated, is only slight. Your Albumin is just low of normal limits, I wouldn't be concerned on that. Everything else does look good.

The brain fog and anxiety happen frequently. We all experience it at some point during Tx. You have to remember that your body is fighting to win and it will. If you expect these issues to happen at some point during Tx (and they often do), you won't experience the same degree of anxiety that you may be now. The brain fog can't be avoided, it's one of the things we all deal with. It will improve in time.

Try to relax and treat yourself right. A decent diet, rest and plenty of water will keep the motor running at its best as you head for the finish. It looks to me like things are going pretty well!

HI Ro. ALB is only slightly dowm; normal at my lab is 3.9-4.8 . Alk Phos/ ALP  is elevated but it looks like yours has been going up and down and may level out ; normal 39-117. Dont worry  , easy for me to say . But its better than it was. Hope your doing well.   Michaele      Just did EOT draws yesterday and am playing waiting game .

Hey all,

Just received my 16 week lab results and am a little concerned.  I called the doctor, but am not expecting a call back until tomorrow..wondering if anyone has insight as to theses values?

Alk Phos      Oct. 9:      214

                  Nov 21:     181

                  Dec 5 :      159

                  Jan 2:        174

                  Jan 30:     123

                  Feb 27:     149  (going up!)

Albumin is slowly elevating    Oct 9:    2.8

                                            Dec 5:    2.9

                                            Jan 2:    3.1

                                            Feb 27:  3.3

liver enzymes are normal, WBC is now normal,

platelets are coming up (now 102)

PT  is near normal at 14.9: as is INR at 1.19

Just wondering if  the Alk Phos  and Alb are something to be of more concern at this time

Appreciate any input,  I have become anxious on treatment and do not always process information as I did in the past.  Thinking fuzzy brain may be a side effect of the Harvoni  (similar to my other treatments)

Thanks to all for your support.

Ro
