Hi, yes the Riba causes some confusion and or fog. The need for it is because my Doc see's low platelets and thinks I am chirotic plus now I am 1a from 1b (?). No biopsy. Kind of reminds me of the Peg treatment BUT... not as strong. Yesterday was better after the jolt Sunday. My body will adjust to it and I wont even think about it. It takes about 2 weeks on. Just hang on and expect something as for the RIba, but dont let it surface. Tell some folks they will understand what you mindset is. I am just glad to be on the train. It look's like Medicare has already absorbed a fortune in payouts for these drugs. You know what that means, so get on it now before Uncle Sam puts yearly limits on RX's.

 

Bill: It was the Spectrum in Philly in the fall. Could of been 77.

Congrats on getting your Meds and starting your protocol, that dosing schedule is easy to do, the Riba can cause some issues but 12 or 24 weeks is easier than the old 48 weeks.

Robert because Bubble is Gene Type A1 Riba is required,

Bubble, My Ragdoll just did 12 weeks  W/O riba and sailed through it.  I did 16 weeks sof-riba and  Its hard to keep your head screwed on correctly when your on riba.Why do you need the riba?  RC

Are you sure that was 1976 @ Madision Square Garden? I remember it as 1977 Lol I remember that date as It was my introduction to selling Tee shirts a Concerts. Pink Floyd July 4, 1977 I got hooked on having fun. We traveled the road behind bands for about 2 -1/2 years bootlegging tee shirts. and other large events @ 3 Superbowl's at least 3 Kentucky derbies indy 500 etc

Completed Treatment 1-21-15 ( No riba) ** SVR 4 on 2-23-15 had no problems to speak of other than recovering from Hip replacement at same time. Next test in April. Best of luck to you!

Hey Bubble,

Great news buddy! Time to slay your Dragon! 12 weeks may seem long right now, but the time will fly by and you'll be looking back on all of this in July thinking that it went by pretty quick. Take care of yourself, eat well and hydrate like nobody's business. Please let us know if you have any questions as you go forward.

I remember those styrofoam boxes well. I've still got a few of them because they make excellent coolers. My meds had to come cold, so they always included several of those re-freezable gel packs. I've got seven months worth of those gel packs in my garage freezer! They take up the whole door! But why dispose of something so useful? A small benefit of treatment, lol!

Yes, I have started Vikera-pac Saturday. Got this large styrofoam box I thought it was Omaha Steaks !  I take 3 pills plus riba in the am. At night 1pill plus riba. So far no head aches or nausea. Am feeling a little ant-zee or anxious. Drinking lots of bottled water keeps the taste down. No sleep problems yet.  You "Harvonians" are very lucky. 12 weeks and praying. 1st blood test in 2 weeks. Thanks to all !
