Hi Gabrielle,

Welcome to the forum! So pleased to see you've completed your first month and are doing so well. That's excellent! I'm curious, you mentioned blood work. Did your doctor perform a week 4 viral load test? Some don't do that during treatment, but our members on the new Harvoni protocol are often tested for it. Certainly at the end of treatment, just to be sure they have made it through the 12 weeks of treatment and are undetected crossing the finish line. You are correct regarding the tests performed at the 12 week mark following the end of treatment. If you are undetected at that point, they consider it a SVR or cure as some call it now.

Can you provide us a little information on yourself? If you would like, please give a short explanation in our New Members section about your history, starting viral load and some information on your level of fibrosis if you have that available. It helps us understand your situation and lets us provide informed opinions. That's up to you of course.

I'm glad you found us and look forward to hearing more about you and your treatment history. Good luck!

Tig

Just finished my first month of treatment. Blood work is good, liver enzymes are normal and I don't have to go back to the Dr. until September. If everything checks out then, I will be considered cured. Harvoni really is a miracle drug!!!!
