Hi Malcom, Yes I am 600mg morning, 600mg evening. Femapples case is different. My Hepatologist did say though when I first started he may have to "change" the Riba as you continue along. So far he is staying the original course. He said the Riba increases the effectivness of Vikera.  If anything -  if anemia occurs he would lower or remove me from it. That's not happening. He repeatedly stated I am not anemic. I have lost 4 lbs.  Sailin' on. THX!

Bubble,

What dose of Ribavirin are you on? I noticed you said 600mg twice a day in one thread, then said Femapples was on a higher dose than you in another?

I can't imagine a Hb of 16 in a patient taking 1,200mg/day of Riba. Just curious.

Excellent Bubble! FYI, many of us saw glucose elevations during tx and like you, I never had a problem beforehand. My doc said he saw it happen to others and would monitor it, as yours is doing. But mine also mentioned, that the people he was treating that started with normal glucose levels, all returned to normal after EOT. Eat right, watch the sugary stuff and Im sure you'll see it correct. It's all looking very good!

Hey Bubble,

Its good to know you're still kicking, at least by your blood work! What's your actual Hgb, RBC's, etc? Riba caused some significant anemia problems, but so did everything else I was on.

Sounds like you're coming along as well as we hoped. I see SVR just around the bend!!

Hi All....Saw my Doc yesterday. He said my MCH level is normal for Ribavirin. No anemia, but wants an EOT blood test. He said a 40 score above a 32 max. would concern him. Riba does tend to kick up your hemaglobin stats.  He is concerned about my glucose/serum level which was never elevated and will wait till after Tx. Concerned about being diabetic.  So I get blood work a week after finishing Vikera-Pac and then just prior to my 12 week SVR window. He also wants another MRI to close things up. He did say the standard of care is 12 weeks after  for the final result. For some reason I was thinking 4 weeks. He smiled, shook my hand and said I have an excellent shot at the 96% sucessfull Tx club!!!  I am his earliest "Vikerian" patient. Made my day. 23 days and marking it off on the biggest wall calendar I can find. The sun is shinning brighter every day. Thanks again everyone.
