Hi David,

Thanks for the update! I had added the Healthwell Foundation to our list after I read about them in an HCV advocacy article a while back. They are an excellent foundation that really cares about helping. I appreciate it when our members share such valuable (literally!) information. Times are so tough and the generosity of foundations like Healthwell can really change a life!

Good news from HealthWell Foundation.  The maximum grant amount per elligible patient per year is now doubled, to $30,000 for copay assistance.  More information is at http://healthwellfoundation.org/hepatitis-c

Thanks Jill.  What a great board you've created with the various patient assistance contacts.  I'm not sure but if that's been up a while perhaps HealthWell was included because of an organ transplant fund they have. The Hep C fund is brand new though by directing viewers to the main page I suppose everyone will get what they are looking for. Thanks again.  David

Hi David,

Welcome to the forum and thanks for your post.

We are already aware of the Healthwell Foundation and we have it included in our list of Payment Assistance Programs, along with the more well known ones associated with drug companies like Gilead and Abbvie which deal with financial assistance for their own specific treatments.

Here`s the link to our list, if you`d like to have a look...

Good to know there are other avenues for our members to explore if they are having difficulties in getting their treatment costs funded.

Thanks, Jill

Hello all,

I work on behalf of a nationally recognized 501c3 non-profit called the HealthWell Foundation (www.HealthWellFoundation.org).  HealthWell provides a lifeline for underinsured Americans.  Since 2003, HealthWell has distributed nearly $900 million to over 200,000 Americans in need of financial assistance to afford their co-pays and other costs not covered by insurance.  This is a no-strings-attached grant for eligible patients.  Last week, HealthWell announced its first ever fund for Hep C patients. The American Liver Foundation and BOOM!Health both are quoted in the news release announcing the fund.  http://www.healthwellfoundation.org/sites/default/files/HealthWell%20Launches%20Hepatitis%20C%20Fund.FINALOUT.pdf

I hope that those on these boards who may benefit from assistance will apply (see news release). It could be worth up to $15,000 to you!
