Thanks everybody for the timing advice!! I think I will definitely space my meds further apart.

First dose 8am  second 5pm. Yesterday felt pretty good just a little woozy like I had taken a valium or something..

I can live with that :)

Hi Kathy. I agree with everyone else. I took my Riba @ 8am with Sovaldi then another Riba @ 8pm.

I hear you Philbert, my doctor told me several times "your not cirrotic, you can wait!" And my enzymes were only slightly elevated. Then last month I had a fibroscan and wham! f4 and prescribed 24 weeks of harvoni!  It is still hard for me to believe, however, there are lots who improve after successful treatment and we will too! She said she would expect I would go back to F3 minimum after successful treatment, and maybe even more than that. And treatments have never been better so things are more positive for us f4s then they have ever been!

Hi Robert, I see you're stage 4 as I recently found I was. Fibroshure and untrasound type thing both confirmed as recent as 8 months ago I was stage F1. Only after a recent laproscopic biopsy did I find I was stage F4.. Lawd Jeezus what news! Anyhoo I'm now on 24 weeks Viekera/ riba... What tx are you presently on.

Hey Kathy,

i also did tx with sovaldi and ribavirin and was told to take the riba 10-12 hours apart. I wake up early so I took you first one about 4 am and the second at 3pm. It didn't add to the insomnia I already had if I took the last one mid afternoon. Hope it all goes well for you. Since this combo can cause rashes I bathed in cold water and only used baby wash and baby shampoo. I never did get a rash.

hi ya Kathy

I was on an older tx that included riba. I took the riba three times a day along with other tx meds. I took the riba at 7-12 and about 6.  I didn't take the riba too late, the final med while I took it was at 11. If I took the riba to late it would interfere with my sleep.

Hang in there!!

Kathy,

Just know that we have many members that said they have never slept better in their life, than when they were on Harvoni tx. Some mentioned having bizarre dreams too and another was told by her husband that she started singing in her sleep! Don't assume you will have problems, hopefully you're going to sail through all of it. The side effects are few, the success rates high, just stay positive and you're going to be done before you know it!

I also agree that you should take your Ribavirin at 12 hour intervals. That keeps the blood level constant.

Its important to keep the  blood saturation levels of the drugs constant.  Its my oppinion that they should be taken 12 hrs apart        I did mine    5am     5pm      RC

Hey everybody!! Took my first dose at 8:00 am...feeling good..maybe just a little woozy and I noticed my pupils are super small.

I was required to go to a class by my Gastro Dr.... The Drug rep gave the class going over possible side effects.

She said when it came to me that one of the side effects is insomnia. Great...I have  hard time getting to sleep anyways.

But....she said that I can take my pills at Breakfast and the others at lunch instead of dinner...as long as they are taken at least

4 hours apart and with food. Sounds good to me...anyone else do this???
