@Cinnamin Girl - Not sure if there was a chance he reinfected himself during that period of time. I know he was pretty heavy into drinking and drugs before the Hep C, so I really don't know.

I still have some left over symptoms of my Hep C in the way of eating certain foods will definitely make my right rib cage area hurt, etc.

Hi Bob, sorry to hear this.

The chances of relapse after achieving SVR are less than 1%, so very rare, and even more so as time goes on.  I hate to ask this, but do you think there is any chance your that step brother was reinfected during that period?

I really don`t think you need to worry at this point, and congrats on your SVR12!

Hi all,

I just got off the phone with my step mom and was told my step brother's Hep C came back after 1 1/2 years! Is that even possible? He was cleared at 24 weeks and did not show any signs of Hep C.

He was in a trial a while back and did some wicked regiment that did include interferon.

Has anyone else heard of people relapsing after such much time had pasted?

Note: Reason I am asking, I am SVR 12+ with Sovaldi/Olysio, so a little nervous.
