I'm on day 8 of a 12 week stint on Harvoni.  It's still really early to tell if I'm going to have mentionable side effects on this drug, but comparing it to the SE's of meds I've had to take for joint pain and skin problems, this stuff is almost as mild as acetaminophen.

Hi Dave. I'm glad you are feeling well so far. I also take other medicines with side effects other than Harvoni so my Harvoni Sx are minimally noticeable if any. I'm 31 days into 24 weeks Tx. One thing you mentioned is "acetaminophen". I just want to make sure you are aware that acetaminophen is hard on a sick liver. There are other more 'liver friendly' Rx's you may want to ask your doctor about. Just saying...  smile

LOL Tig, it was more subtle than that.  If I could have woke up all the way after the first time it wouldn't have been so bad.  It was the problem of falling back to sleep and doing it again that bummed me out.  The third time.... well that was just stupid, and I got the hell out of the tub before it became my permanent place of rest.  LOL

Hi David,

You've got me laughing right now! I can just envision you going under the bubbles, dreaming you're Jacque Cousteau, only to discover you forgot your scuba gear and flying out of the tub coughing up foam. Forgive me, my mind just got carried away, ha, ha!! I'm glad you survived your under sea adventure though biggrin

The deep sleep phenomenon has been mentioned by many here. Enjoy it, sometimes it lasts, often times it ends with treatment. I understand the dream state gets pretty vivid too. You'll have to share anything you experience. I'm glad you're feeling better too, also mentioned by others on your protocol. So far, aside from nearly drowning, it sounds like a positive experience. I hope you sail through treatment with minimal sfx. Keep us in the loop! Good luck...

I'm on day 8 of a 12 week stint on Harvoni.  It's still really early to tell if I'm going to have mentionable side effects on this drug, but comparing it to the SE's of meds I've had to take for joint pain and skin problems, this stuff is almost as mild as acetaminophen.

When I stay active I don't even have a problem with fatigue, but if I settle back in a chair for awhile, nap time seems like the best thing that could ever happen.  When I do nap it's the sleep of the dead.  For 45 minutes or an hour you could run over me with a truck and I wouldn't know it.

I've got to stay out of the tub now because of it.  I damn near drowned myself when I fell asleep in the tub Saturday.  It was funny after I got past the Oh Craps!! the incident brought on.... profanity filters suck almost as bad as HCV.

Over all, I already feel some better, but with only a week in it may just be a placebo effect.  Time will tell.

David
