Thanks to all the support & well wishings brothers & sisters

A lot of the Hep-C friends are inspiring because of there perseverance in finding strength to do another treatment after relapsing multiple times, members like Bills, Malcolm, Tig, Jime, BiggyB and many many more, then the inspiring story of the members that had to endure 48 weeks of Interferon & Riba Like JoAnneh & 12 stepGuy, some of us have no idea what its like to be on treatment for 48 weeks, check this thread started by JoAnneh, she exemplifies the determination and grit that are truly inspiring.  http://hepcfriends.activeboard.com/t52520221/hanging-on/

BTW scroll to the start or bottom of the above thread/hyperlink.

WOW,

This part is as moving as getting the call and seeing the blood test result. All I am just looking at this and remembering all the people who came through here. Almost all of us scared, whats gonna happen. I'm afraid to tell anyone. Im ashamed. Will I live? Die?  I failed treatment. I made  SVR. This is where I got the courage, inspiration and strength to fight. When I was up you were there, When I failed you consoled me. We ranted and got all riled up when the medical system failed us.

But you guys are now giving me all the cheering. and I am very moved, I can't mention names because If i miss one I'll feel bad and there's too many to count. I' need to set aside looking jumping into the next quests to slay other dragons for awhile this one kicked my butt.

I will steal my best friends expression when she received SVR  ((It's Time to CARTWHEEL))  Woo Hoo  I just kept seeing her in my mind just rolling hands feet hands feet like down a street through a park passing cars on a beach. Wearing a tee shirt that had SVR on it. So here I go

BillS  SVR 12 Aug 28th 2015

Hugs fist pounds Hi fives kisses whatever all of them to all of you thank you all So So much.

Keep them SVRs Coming and blessings to all still taking pills you'll be here soon.

Hey Bill,

You're not going to escape the limelight Brother. CONGRATULATIONS = SVR 12  You definitely earned your stripes and awards for battle. A decades long fight to kill the beast has finally come to fruition. I have watched as you struggled through treatment, relapse and now success. You handled yourself like a true warrior, accepted your wins and losses with honor and rarely let the cloudy days get you down. I tip my hat to you sir, you've earned my respect and the shared joy of everyone here. Good job buddy! (You really need to post your own notice, you have a lot of fans out there!)

The last thing I can offer is one big galactic:

YAAAHHHOOO!!!!!!   Bills

You had me worried for a few days because its been two week since your lab work, but I think you mentioned its takes way to long for your labs to come back.

Anyway welcome to the SVR-12 YES! group, you more than earned it. I can just hear the sound of hundreds of other long time 40 plus years carriers of HCV collectively screaming for joy as they receive there email, phone calls and texts that info inform them that they reached SVR-12 and that they no longer have chronic HCV.

Buddy it may have taken us 40 plus years but we made it, and it feels like we scored a home run in the world series and scored the winning touchdown in the superbowl.

Now its onward to SVR-24

That is FANTASTIC NEWS Bill. I am so happy for you. You have worked long and hard for this and I know you are overjoyed to the hilt. Speechless or not, you'd better start a big SVR-12 Party thread so everyone knows and we'll all have a big party.

Hey Robert

Thanks for yours thoughts, dealing with a relapse is a tough road, as you know but the friends here can help and have helped.

How about your next treatment is "Harvoni" in your future? Possible a new trial? Whatever your considering we are here to help.

Hi Matt, In late 2013 I had just started looking into treatment and was lucky enough to get into a trial. I had just found this forum and saturated my head with info off ths forum. I can remember your story and how you relapsed, And thinking to myself how hard and terrable the news must have been when you were told you had relapsed. And it hurt me to have a brother going through that. You persevered and look at you now!!   I'm so happy for you, knowing that all of us will some day get the SVR news. Well done my forum friend.  RC

Hey All

I am elated ,in high spirits and over the top delighted to report I received my 12 weeks EOT PCR results today / Labor Day via email that read

8-31-2015 Hep-C PCR result  NOT DETECTED

Thats means I have reached SVR-12    YAAAAHHHHOOOO!!!!!!

SVR is an abbreviation or acronym for "Sustained Virologic Response", I always thought it could be change to "Sustained Viral Rejection"

Many, many thanks to all of you forum members for the loving support during the last 3 + years. You are one the the most supportive groups I have ever been privileged to be associated with, may God bless all of your efforts to help others and yourself.

Without this support group I know I would have crawled into a dark hole and never come out, but because of the forum and all the caring friends this didn't happen and doesn't have to happen to anyone else that joins and reaches out for help and understanding.

Now its onward to SVR-24

matt
