STATISTICS SVR12 FOR GENOTYPE 3 ( SOFOSBUVIR + RIBAVIRIN 24 WEEKS)

You`re welcome, Ell, we like to help when we can.

Yes, things have moved on a lot since the new DAA drugs became available.  The success rates are so much higher now and it`s a lot less stressful for people to know for certain whether the treatment has worked at 12 weeks post treatment, rather than having to wait 24 weeks to find out!

We all look forward to the day when these drugs are available to everyone who needs them, whichever country they are living in.

Good to have you with us!  smile

Hi again Ell,

I just wanted to mention that a post treatment result of SVR12 is now considered to be as good an indication that the treatment has worked as SVR24.  This is because studies have shown very little difference in the success rates measured at 12 or 24 weeks post treatment.  If a patient is going to relapse, this usually happens within the first 4 weeks after finishing treatment, and so we now consider SVR12 as the most important result.  This is why clinical trials now use SVR12 as an endpoint for their statistics.

I`m sure you have nothing to worry about, your treatment is working very well!

Thanks for the info! Recent studieson 24weeks cheme (sofosbuvir+ribavirin) was performed in 2014 and they are called VALENCE . SVR12 was a chievedin approximately 94% of subjects with 105 naïve patients - do I understand correctly ? Recorded whether GILEAD SVR24!!! for their patients or can any one on the forum achieved SVR24 according to this scheme ? I think this is very important !

We all are treated only with the help of Egyptian, Indian generics, Chinese dackatasvir and get good results . So are treated in many countries.

Hi Ell,

Welcome to the forum! I'm very interested in following your progress. You're the first member that has discussed the imported Egyptian Sovaldi/RIBA regimen. As Jill mentioned, as  treatment naive non cirrhosis, 24 weeks should provide 90+% SVR rates and that's a success rate higher than ever before for genotype 3's. You should do well. The addition of Daclatasvir or Peg Interferon changes either the length of treatment or SVR rate by a very small margin. So I believe, as long as you stay compliant and treat yourself well, you should do very well.

Here is some additional information on treatment outcomes for you. Pay attention to the Valence trials. Following the conclusion of these studies, Gilead has released information indicating slightly higher rates of success for your protocol. You're going to do well, good luck! Keep in touch...

Thank you for the moral support! I'm glad some of you are getting treatment with modern drugs by medical insurance and you are under the supervision of physicians ! In RUSSIA the situation is different : sofosbuvir is not a registered drug and its distribution is prohibited by law, so not officially write him a prescription. Free treatment some patients (only peg+riba)we get after 5years of waiting .So we buy generic products abroad , and are treated and interacton the forum. And so many of daclatasvir API add into my regimen to make sure you geta good result and to reduce duration of therapy to 12 weeks. UNDER the scheme sofosbuvir + ribavirin only 1 person on the Russian forum got SVR12 ( she lives in the UK) and only 2 people lead the kind of therapy for genotype 3. It's all who is on this scheme. So I was interested in your experience.

Thanks Ell for sharing your results, you are clearly responding very well, it`s fantastic that you achieved an undetected viral load result as early as 2 weeks!

None of the currently available Hep C treatments have a success rate of 100%, but Sovaldi is a very powerful and effective drug and we`ve seen many people here reach a successful outcome with this treatment combination, including Genotype 3s.

I really don`t think you have any need to worry, you are young and your treatment is going very well indeed!  smile

Thank you , I am very happy that I met your forum! I really appreciate the opinions and experience of the entire international community to combat this plague. Yes , I am familiar with the latest European recommendations on treatment of hepatitis C. But unfortunately none of them gives 100% result. So I'm very interested in your experience , in particular genotype 3 . Yes I'm naive and have no fibrosis . In the second week I received my first negative HCV, then 4 week. The next analysis week. You have among patients who received SVR 12 according to this scheme?

Hello Ell, welcome!

If this is your first time on treatment for Hep C and you are not cirrhotic, then your chances of SVR12 are very high, roughly 93%.  Here is a link to the full prescribing information for Sovaldi, which includes the results of the clinical trials.  You will need to scroll down to Table 17...

http://www.gilead.com/~/media/Files/pdfs/medicines/liver-disease/sovaldi/sovaldi_pi.pdf

How have you been responding to the treatment so far?

Wishing you all the best of luck!  smile

Hello! Sorry for my English , I write through an interpreter , although few know English , but it's easier. And so : I am 35 years old , 19 of which I have hepatitis C. F=0. 11 weeks ago I started treatment with the Egyptian sofosbuvir and ribavirin 24weeks. The treatment produced faster results , but I'm a little unsure about the end result , because clinical trials SVR12= 90% with my data. In our country, few people treated under this scheme and add declatasvir, In Europe and America sofosbuvir has been available before. So my question is: is there anyone among you are those who got SVR SVR12 or 24, with genotype 3 with sofosbuvir and ribavirin ?
