Thanks for posting this.

Although I am sorry for your vision problems (on top of dealing with the HCV and treatment) I find what you presented here VERY interesting.

Glad you shared it, and glad the latest test showed this amazing lessening for you.

If you (and/or your docs) have any further thought or theories on this lessening, please do keep us posted.

I thought it MOST interesting. I have been troubled with diplopia (and some other eye issues for decades) and have often wondered if it was, in part, an effect of packing the HCV for so many decades, and whether my vision (along with many of the other bodily complaints I have, that I blame on HCV), would maybe one day start to improve once the HCV was eradicated.

Good news for you and very interesting. I hope it is actually translating into a corresponding improvement in that part of your visual field!?? smile C.

Hey Tom,

Good to hear from you, but sorry about the visual issues. Interferon used to be a real concern and people had to stop treatment because of vision trouble. Looks like some of it is returning, thank goodness, but still must've been quite the scare. I've got macular degeneration in the family and am showing potential for glaucoma. Sounds like you've got a good doc helping you keep it in check. Or should I say, keeping an eye on it? I couldn't help that.... Forgive me Tom!

Hi All,

my liver still seems fine, so here comes a story about my right eye...

In 2014, when I was blissfully ignorant of my HepC , cirrhosis, and all that, I noticed some reduced field of vision in my right eye. It was checked out, and was diagnosed as a "vascular issue", and to be kept in view. Then came the HepC dx, and I had another set of worries. Because there have been people with vision issues under antiviral therapy, we repeated the periphery vision test before start of Harvoni&Riba. All went well then, little sides and SVR12. Now I repeated the eye field test this week, see the pdf attached. The upper image was taken before treatment, the lower now. Dark regions mean essentially that there I cannot not see there anymore. To the surprise of my eyedoc, and my joy, the upper dark region has largely resolved now. Noone knows if the "temporal association" with the Harvoni treatment means anything causal, but I am happy anyway...
