I'm sat here drinking a coffee, reading all last night's activity. :D Organic coffee beans are best, pesticide free. I was very happy to see that Aldi now have an organic range such as coffee, pasta, and many other items. They are not much higher priced than regular products, maybe a little more, but nothing compared to prices I was paying before in other places. I thought I mention that for those that buy organic produce. :)

I need to start drinking coffee again. I like ice coffee best so I'll start making a pot every morning.

Hello FBN,

Welcome to the forum! You're among friends, a bit goofy sometimes, but we all make a great group of caring and helpful people. If I say so myself =>

I hope you do introduce yourself in the new members section. Tell us a little about yourself. If you look in my signature line, you'll see a red link on how to set up your signature line with all the information most helpful when replying to your posts. You can see how many of us have done it.

You're absolutely right about coffee. It's good and may be very helpful. I drink it all day long. I heard something from a doctor recently that said the light and medium roasts are better because the dark roasts are less beneficial due to longer roasting. Sounds reasonable enough but I do like it best. Go figure! Glad you're here...

I might get brave and post in the new members section (on day 15 of Harvoni) but I just had to post to this as I have read about the benefits of coffee.

"Coffee Coffee Coffee Coffee Coffee, java.. cappuccino"!

Hi All,  I'm glad I posted about the coffee as I had no idea.  Tig mentioned postings many times about benefits of coffee, but the newbies may not have gotten the memo.  I know I missed it.  Now I need to remind myself To drink it

Just a Cuisinart guy here but I do ALWAYS use Yuban Coffee ... it's the Best ... we make it STRONG and I like it Black. Jo likes to put stuff in it (I had to give up refined sugar and learned to love not using it).

Great minds...

I also have a Keurig and I am hooked on that thing. I keep a couple of jugs of White Vinegar around because when it plugs there is little warning. The descale light tend to come on AFTER the thing plugs up and I think "DUH?"

It should have a "You're getting near to panic mode" light to warn you. Other than that I love it!

3 cups in the morning or you might as well shave me with a rock.

We have talked about coffee a number of times. It's good stuff and very beneficial. If you plug "coffee" without quotes into the search function above, you'll see some of those conversations. I have a Keurig and enjoy it all day long, switching to decaf later in the day.

I agree. I didn't drink coffee until last August, 1 month into Tx. That's when I took to heart the benefits available. But I have a 3 cup per day limit that I stick to. I believe "moderation" is best concerning lots of good things too Wendy.

Very true. My liver doc told me years ago to drink more coffee and I keep to my 2 in the a.m. Sometimes one after lunch. Many women have to be careful as for me it can cause stimulated glandular tissue and cause problem elsewhere. Learned that the hard way. Moderation is the key for me.

Many studies have been done showing coffee is beneficial to the liver.  Helps the ant-viral response, lowers risk of HCC and more.  Reading through below link ( and my eyes spinning in my head from the medical terminology), it appears 3 or more cups per day (8 oz being 1 cup) can only be good.  Tea and caffeinated drinks won't do it.  The studies theorize it's one or more of the 200 compounds found in coffee.
