Hey Mike,

WOOHOO Brother!! I know how much you wanted this to happen and here it is, outstanding. Sounds to me like you've got quite a morning routine developed already and I commend you for that.

Keep up the good work and don't worry about the support group being slow right now. The participation rates will vary and there will be times when you make up for the days and weeks you were slow. Take advantage of the slow times and do your research, have an extra cup of coffee and get to know the people that are there with you. Just putting forth the effort to try and help others tells me a lot about the good character you possess. Always work on the quality of support you can provide, quantity is nice, but good quality advice and support is why they're coming to you. If we can provide any assistance, just let us know.

SVR Station is next, tray tables up!

Huge congrats Mike! 2 UND's !!- that is just so just wonderful. Every one of my und reports, that I received, had a profound effect on me also, so I know what you mean when you say thrills and tears.

I am trying to recall all your details/dates - you did do the 12 weeks of treatment? (or did it end up being 8 weeks)? And, your first week VL was Und, and now, this UND is your 8 or 12 week EOT VL? So, does this mean you get another VL at EOT+4weeks and/or EOT+12 weeks for the next?

Too bad about the group attendance - you are going to have to get creative, really think about how to solicit people in, maybe quite differently, these things are sometimes quite hard to get rolling, and it takes a long time of sticking at it, utilizing many dif. ongoing creative approaches, before they start trickling in and then building. I noticed one successful one I saw, routinely utilized out-right bribes - a draw every meeting (for neat substantial things too), and free food, stuff like that - it seems to work for them, but they have "paid" trained staff and a budget to run this, and they do it in a very heavily populated area where there are many HCV folk constantly traversing within plain sight, and many of them who could really use something to eat, a chance at a draw prize, and the support and education. Much harder to do when it is strictly volunteer - but really good on you, for you and your wife trying/doing this - stick with it, and try some off the wall thinking to see if you can revamp the concepts in how to draw people in.

Your life really has changed in many ways, eh? - and ALL for the better, you are good example for us, important the way you are looking after your health/diet/exercise now.

Your doing really good!

It was you who was just on holiday in some beautiful place, right? So, tell me, am I right?, that this "forever" vacation (from C) is waaaay more beautiful!!, right? biggrin C.

Well folks, it is time once again to celebrate the slow, painful, death of another incredibly despicable dragon, who used to reside in my body.  I am absolutely thrilled, and come to tears about it. I was kind of getting fond of that miserable dragon, but believe me, I won't be attending the dragon's funeral services. Just received today, an email, from my Doctor's (Hepatitis C) registered Nurse, that the second lab results since treatment are (non-detectable) for the HCV. The first reading was the same, about two weeks prior to the end of treatment. The end of treatment date for me was June 1st, 2016. Then this email came in today.biggrin

I am trying wholeheartedly to encourage attendance in our local Hepatitis C monthly meetings, however, I am falling short of people who want to come.  It is well announced, but I believe people are possibly fearful of publically joining a group such as this. I was inspired by all of you, and still am. I happen to live in an area that has a large concentration of infected HCV peoples. I know that we can be of support for a lot of individuals, if they would only come. I won't give up.  I will go to it alone if I have to.  Luckily my wife joins me.smile

I am free now to use the essential oils in gradual amounts that I am a distributor for. My liver has returned to normal processing. I am still drinking a lot of water, and watching what I eat.  Since January, I lost 16 pounds, am 5'10.5" and currently weigh 202 pounds. I lost the weight mainly due to stopping alcohol consumption, and completing a daily exercise program, Monday thru Saturday, without fail, rain or shine. However, here in central California, Bakersfield, rain, right now ain't gonna happen, (it is 5:34 pm and 103(f) outside), if ya know what I mean. I do my swimming, 30 minutes at least in the early morning, about 5am, and even got my wife to join me.confuse

I continue praying for you all my brothers and sisters. I will always be on this site. Love you all:)
