Wow, Clayton, already 12 weeks have gone by.   Thanks for sharing your success so far, next 12 just an insurance policy for SVR.    Hang in there...it's working.   Take care.   Chris

Great labs and undetected as well.

You have another 12 weeks to go but I am thinking you are already cured but don't stop.

Great news.

Congratulations Clayton! That's fantastic progress, excellent enzymes and perfect viral load - ZERO!!!

Keep up the hydration and healthy diet. The low platelets might result in some fatigue, so get plenty of rest as well. Keep it up, it's working!

There's a Highway to Hell and a Stairway to Heaven, I guess they're planning on a lot of traffic... Rock on!

Hi Re-buy,

Hey thanks for the maple syrup, THAT WAS a good idea!, haven't had one of those for while, overdue!. Good stuff. I think SF wants one too!! Tig probably doesn't know what he is missing.

Just wonderin' how yer makin out with your 24 weeks of harvoni, and how everything else is going.

Can't recall what your 4 week results were, but your Jul 5 (8 week) result was stellar with that very impressive AST/ALT drop!H

Tell me again please, your VL's, when are they due/planned to be taken over the 24 weeks. Did you post a 4 week or 8 week VL and I just don't see it now?

You must be at about 12 weeks now, half-way?

How is everything else going? You've had a lot on your plate (for a while now!), add to the past and current battle(s), you were mentioning bothersome memory (me too), being underweight, lack of appetite, then thrush (not to mention the lymphoma which you will decimate next!). Hope you have been feeling OK, and that some things may have improved for you thus far.

best regards from your canuck pal. C.

 Hi Canuck

Good to hear from you.

I am half way through my 14 th week of Harvoni. I had my 12 week bloodwork done on August 2. I am still waiting for 2 reports re: alpha fetoprotein and RNA. The results that I did get are looking good.

ALT 25

AST 25

My platelets dropped again to 84 and Lymphocytes are at 1.4 ( slightly low ) Everything else is within the accepted normal range. I guess my situation was finally recognized by what is left of my brain and it responded with a bout of depression. That seems to be behind me now.

I always seem to be in waiting mode. I check hourly to see if the viral load results have been sent to me but that dang watched pot never boils. ? I called my hep nurse and she said those results may not be sent to my (e health ). She said 9 working days. She had not received those results yet either.

I bought some maple syrup at the farmer's market here in B.C. Imported from Quebec. It was a special treat when I was a kid growing up in Ontario. Just as special now as then.

I thank you again for your interest.

Clayton

Good stuff Clayton! Don't worry about the platelets, they aren't that low. You've dealt with their fluctuation before and understand how that works. The enzymes are looking good too. Keep it up, it looks very positive!

Rebuy,

I like your numbers, and the attitude ... "your next!" ... I'm sending you my "kill, kill, kill" poem,  then maybe wendy could send you her kill, kill, kill video for fun. smile C.

No, no, no - I didn't say  "Viral LOAD", ... I saa-id ... "Viral ODE" !! You know, like ... as in ... "Ode to a Virus"??

Begone you vile

wicked thing,

herald my war cry,

it's your death I sing!

Be forewarned,

you'll taste my steel!

Of your innards,

I'll make a meal!

I'll pierce your breast,

crush your head,

slaughter your children,

oooh how,  I  wish-you-DREAD!

When you're starved and bleeding,

dis-armed, eyes sloughed,

then I'll strangle you thoroughly

'til quite cold enough!

And when your flesh

rots and decays,

I will celebrate,

every day!

I'll dance on your bones,

no grave for thee,

your evil soul to

purga - to -ry!

Your essence will vanish

Into hell's abyss,

dust, washed to nothing,

OH - MY - BLISS!

I tire of you,

you creepy skum,

no right to exist,

YOUR DAYS ARE DONE!

The army has come!

(a velpa war cry!)

Hi,

Those LFT's are looking good. The platelets as said will most likely sort themselves out when you are done your treatment. Stay the course.

Congrats.  Your platelets will be normal by the time you finish Harvoni and your VL will be UND.

You are responding just as expected.

I am now 1/3 of my way through 24 weeks of Harvoni.

Yesterday's blood work showed:

ALT 31 (ref <50)

AST 26 (ref <30)

Platelets 104 (ref =150-400)

Although the platelet count is low, it is the best count of the last six that I have had done. The alt/ast are at the lowest since diagnosis. Lower now than after 48 weeks of interferon in 2005. I guess I brought a knife to that gunfight in 2005. The dragon knows that I now have a weapon of mass destruction and he is runninggggg. I'm thinking my cancer can see that I am getting serious about these wars and is trying to hide. I see you there lymphoma. I have another weapon and YOU ARE NEXT.
