Why have a forum if you can't learn from the experience of others?  I have found invaluable advice and direction here that has helped me interface with my doctor.  Thank you all!

GT2a, VL 681,500, Less than F1, Treatment Naive

12 wks Sovaldi/Ribavirin, SOT 2/25/16, EOT 5/17/16

UND at 2,4,8 and 12 wks during treatment but ribavirin crazy.

ALT/AST normal EOT

SVR12 8/13/2016!!!!!!!!!  I WON!!

EOT 6 Months 11/12/2016  CURED

Sometimes our liver function tests are elevated and could be the result of previous liver disease and changes that occur as a result. Your ALT is slightly elevated. If it remains that way and your doctors have advised you to not be concerned about it, then you may be able to do just that. Your ALT may stay slightly elevated. As long as you continue to have routine blood testing performed under the guidance of your doctors and things stay the same, take their advice and don't worry. If the ALT starts to elevate significantly, then I would expect your doctor to investigate why.

I am having no problem with my health and also not taking any medications. I just check my tests regularly to monitor. I was not having cirrhosis and was diagnosed HCV when i went to donate blood to a patient. I never have any serious problem with Liver and was lucky to diagnose it in initial stage.

My all tests always remain in normal range but ALT always remain 55-70

Thanks for reply,

after treatment in regularly monitor my Lab tests and talk to different doctors, many time but they always say if PCR is negative and all other tests and ultrasounds are perfect then don't bother the ALT.

 

I am here to check if anyone else having the same issue.

Greetings,

To be honest, it is unwise to raise such questions in a forum setting. A good answer requires further testing under Medical supervision. There is no one here properly qualified to venture a guess and a good Medical Professional could perhaps suggest and order further testing to develop a solid diagnosis.

Please do not take chances with guesses made by strangers where Medical concerns rest. Seek proper advice for proper treatment.

I agree with Wendy. Go over this with your Doctor.

liver function tests can run high if you are on certain medication(s). If you are on any Rx, please go over that with your doc as it may be nothing.

Dear Fellows,

I was diagnosed HCV patient in 2007 and in 2008 i took successful treatment and PCR got negative. Since than all lab results are normal except ALT. It remains always between 55-70. Can anyone suggest why ALT is not showing normal range and what could be the reason of high level. My recent report also attached.
