Hey K8,

Wonderful to hear this from you!! "sweet energy", that IS sweet indeed - you had such as hard time with that, you so deserve every morsel of this building up of your energy again. It is lovely to feel it coming back, isn't it.  ACTUALLY hiking! - really nice. Oh, blessed relief. I hope every day is getting better and better now, I am sure you are on your way now - keep doing the good job you have been doing all along - take good care of number one (precious cargo). Feeling grateful is great! Just too bad you have to thank riba for that.

Your ques. about when is it considered a cure (SVR)? I (personally, not scientifically) considered myself cured the very first time my load and ALT crashed!! And then, every single time my load and ALT remained crashed after that, it reinforced my belief! But "technically" they say that is wrong. Big early crashes are supposed to be a good indication, but a LOT of the emphasis is put on the EOT+12 week, and the MOST emphasis is put on the EOT+24 weeks (that is actually considered "sustained").

I recall you had good VL response while on treatment/at EOT - expect nothing else but the same now!! You've done it!! It's history.

Glad to hear you got it sorted between you and NP and doc about taking iron to combat anemia - did you end up coupling it with Vit C as well?

Can't wait to hear you say UND again! biggrin C.

EOT was July 17, started to feel better 2 weeks later and energy started to come back. Sun & heat became bearable 6 weeks EOT.

2  tests show Anemia but taking Iron supplement and will get retested in another month.  I don;t feel anemic (I have had challenges with this for many years but was doing well until I started treatment again)....body is repairing and soul is grateful.

Hi friends,

I am waiting for results from my 3 month EOT blood test.  I haven't really given it much thought because I feel so good now.
I couldn't have done this without the comfort and reassuring posts on this forum especially dealing with RIBA, the rage, the inertia, the sadness - blah state.

Happy to report that beautiful sweet energy has returned - that is one of the reasons that I haven't posted, I am out and about with friends and just grateful to feel good again.

I will post when I get the results in a few days. Funny that I had took my good time in getting the blood work done as all I could think about when I was on treatment was the next test.

Every once in a while, rage pops up, but nothing like treatment days.
I have several friends starting treatment and suggested that join the forum

With all of your experience, what is considered "cured" 6 months or 12 months SVR?

Blessings to all & good nite from a cabin in beautiful Oklahoma (actually hiking)

K8
