Hi Paul,

Yes, I'm familiar with your brand of generics. They can be very effective provided they come from an accredited supplier. India has several. I'm familiar with some of the exporters and they all stress caution.

I'm going to go ahead and close this thread. If anyone wants to speak with you further on the weather in Monaco, it should be privately. I wish there was an easy answer for that medication. Sorry I can't recommend more...

If you feel like discussing Hep C, stick around. Start a new thread in our new members section. It's a good way to keep in touch. We've got some great people here and a good bit of educational material. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. I hope you find a resolution soon. Enjoy your trip!  Good luck!

Dear Tig,

Actually, I'm surprised you my violation run as long as it did.

This is the generic. The brand version would be $64,000, $1200 per tablet.

Does Gilead prey on desperate people, or what?

I'm surprised that I still have it considering the miracle that it is.

   Tell your friends.

My gastro calls this drug the closest thing to magic ever invented by modern medicine.

Whoever wants it should hurry because I'm leaving the country and won't be back until April.

                  Paul

Hi Paul,

Welcome to the forum! Sorry to hear about your reaction to the medication. Sorry you had to invest in the drugs and have this happen. We have had this happen before, not allergies, but extra medication. It's a terrible situation for those that went into debt purchasing the brand name drugs, only to have it fail early. The generics are much more affordable. Unfortunately the forum can't endorse private sale or there might be some suggestions. We have been asked, but our guidelines prohibit it. What happens between private messaging is up to the individuals involved... wink

Stay in touch. I hope you get this figured out soon, good luck!

The reaction I have had to Harvoni is not unique to this drug. In 1989 I had brain surgery which resulted in several neurological deficits. These deficits are exacerbated by every drug I have taken.

Because my liver enzymes have been normal for years I assumed I had spontaneously rejected this virus. I was surprised when a PCR revealed that I had a high viral load. My gastro explained that this was because I had no liver damage.

I'm surprised I still have this drug considering what a miracle it is and how inexpensive it is.

Also, it is wonderful the way hep C patients help each other out.

Oh dear postrof! What a shame! How bad was this allergic reaction you had?? What have you and your doc decided to do now?? What did you have to do for the reaction (aside from stopping the Harvoni)? I assume you are a GT 1, so what other regime have you and your doc decided on for you then? I hope you are on or have been offered another good regime! This is the first time I have heard from anyone about having an allergic reaction to harvoni. How unfortunate! Please do let us know how you are and where you are at with devising a new treatment plan! C. PS - lots of thoughts but no idea what could be done with 74 days worth of wasted harvoni!

Bummer!  What do you do next?  I sure wish there was a legal way to pass this on.  Anybody have ideas?

Two fulls jars of Ledihep, known in this country as HARVONI plus another jar minus the ten I took before I realized I was having an allergic reaction. $800.

Costs $64,000 in this country.

My gastro calls this the closest thing to magic medicine has ever come up with.
