Hey Perry,

Good to hear from ya, Brother! I see you're still wearing out running shoes by the dozens. I hope you've got a shoe sponsor by now! Maybe we could come up with a HepCFriends logo for the bottom of your shoes. Something with a Dragon, maybe. That way, you can stomp on it repeatedly over the next year or two!

Good luck and good speeds on your run for the NZ record book. It's nice when you check in, brings back memories of the good (?) old days! Take care my friend....

Perry,

No idea how you can do that!! You caught that addictive run-bug alright. (I am just jealous, I am so out of shape, I couldn't run if my life depended on it!) So, in my book, these records and feats you perform are beyond me even beginning to fathom. Never mind the land records, you must own a cardivascular system that should be documented for posperity! Nice you run with many other purposes too - like the charity. Arizona I hear is a lovely spot, but isn't where you live paradise? Why would anyone need to leave paradise? I guess ... unless you are a globe trotter, like you! It always nice how you tie your marathon running into and back to those of us who have run or are running the HCV marathon here - reminding us of your motto "just one foot in front of the other", keep going, and winning, whatever your personal best is. You are our motivational speaker, on the run! How is your stomache thing now? biggrin C.

Hi all. Hope all are well and kicking that dragon to you know where. Been a good year for me so far and yes lots of running!!!Closing in on 4000 miles for the year so far so training is great. Have got a big second half of the year with in 5 weeks time heading off on a length of NZ run where I'm aiming to average 120 kms per day ( approx. 70 miles per day ) and if successful will break a 40 year old record ( its approx. 2100 kms). Will also be running for a charity who send a group of young people who have suffered through cancer anfd the likes for a 2 week holiday to California. My facebook page is - Length of NZ - 17 days . At the end of the year I will be in Phoenix , Arizona for a 6 day race called - Across The Years. Looking forward to the fun. Health has been pretty good - just some of that age related stuff which I happily ignore!!!!!!

Take care all and keep looking after yourselves.

Hello Perry, great to hear from you again!

Sorry, I missed your post until now, life has become very busy for me these days, but I`m still around here and there!

How wonderful to hear how well you`re doing and still keeping yourself super fit and active, despite other health issues.  What an inspiration you`ve been to us here, and still are!  It must have been very reassuring for you to have those blood results, and your liver enzyme levels are certainly something to be happy about!

Well done to you, you have such a great attitude and that alone can carry us through such a lot!!

Do keep in touch, and thanks for dropping by with such a positive message for the New Year!!  smile

Hi all. Thought I would drop in now and get in an early best wishes to all for the season coming up. Life is still pretty good for me, even though its been a rough year with a lot of general life stuff that happened - 1 after the other - but got through it all with my motto of 1 foot in front of the other. Its been over 18 months now since I finished treatment - 1 of the old style ones- and although I haven't had an up to date test done since 12 week post treatment I have just had a whole range of bloods done and they are all looking good ( ALT/AST showing 32/35) so have nothing to worry about . Running continues to be a big part of life and although mileage hasn't been as big ( almost) as the last 2 years I,m still pretty happy with sitting at 5500 miles so far this year and will get over the 6000 miles by the end of year. I still haven't forgotten about a return to the USA for a big run ( had hoped for this year but life stuff took over) and am definitely looking at next year. Did a 100 miler about 3 weeks ago and although I had chronic stomach problems still manged it in 21 hours and will do a marathon next week as last major run for this year - have a 40 miler booked for January and a 100 miler mid Feb to kick start the year. Anyway better not ramble on for to long so take care of yourselves all, keep smiling ( as mkuch as you can) and remember sometimes it is only 1 foot in front of the other\.
