We need to have a Florida play date! We have several destinations to choose from. If we do it in the Summer, I vote for something in Fairbanks AK! We talked about a week long cruise once, but we couldn't get Big Pharma to spring for the costs! We'll keep working on them! We sure paid them enough! I think a nice balcony stateroom would be suitable, don't you? smile

Hi Mike, thanks for checking in, good to hear from you again!  smile

Great to hear how well you`re doing these days, and life is certainly keeping you busy with so much going on!   Wishing you all the best with your new job, and the house move, very exciting!  I`m moving house this Friday too, to a different town.  I`m up to my eyes in packing boxes at the moment, and swearing that I`ll never do this again!  Lol

New year, new beginnings, it`s good to keep moving forward!

Hope all works out well for your wife, good to hear she`s on the way up.

Happy New Year to you both, do keep in touch!

Thanks Wendy, will do.  I'm actually working in Ruskin so we're looking from about Riverview down to Bradenton...  I could sure use some referrals for doctors though.  When we finally get over here I'll be sure to contact you.

Shadowfax, I can definitely relate to "it beats the alternative" lol.

Hope everyone is having a great day!

Congrats Mike. I am in Pinellas County so if you all end up here as opposed to Hillsborough and need any suggestions on doctors, etc, hit me up for sure.

Great news and by all means be happy we can blame some things on old age. There are many that did not have the luxury of getting here.

I was reminded that on my 50th birthday when I thought, wow, and maybe felt a little down and my cousin who was just behind me said "I can't wait to turn 50" His reasoning? He as I both knew so many people who never reached that milestone. He was right and I never though like that again.

* Even when I was younger, in my 30's / 40's and may have been kidded about my age by younger peers and such on my birthdays, my answer was always "It beats the alternative"   That pretty much shut them up ... Hard to dispute that one smile

Hey Tig!  Awful house sounds good buddy!  If I can get my sorry butt moved over here soon, I plan to take a fishing trip to either the Everglades (10,000 Islands) or Boca Grande this summer.  When/if I get the chance I will certainly hit you up!  If you have time to chase fish you are more than welcome to endure the frustration with mebiggrin

Glad to hear you're doing well man!

Hi Mike,

I was wondering about you the other day, and look, here you are! It's so good to hear from you. I remember the time you were going through tx and the issues you had to deal with. You had quite a ride during that time, but handled the journey well. I'm always amazed at the memories a single name posted months or years later will dig up. Fortunately, the majority are good ones and the rest have hopefully been improved by our discussions and friendship.

Good luck in your new job and journey in Tampa! We have more than a few members in Florida. Am I the only one not working? Retirement isn't all it's cracked up to be, at least I don't have to spend any of it shoveling snow!

Give my best to your wife. I remember she had some ticker problems, I hope she's continuing to improve.

I'm with you on the 2016 send off. I'm glad to see it gone, too. One for the history books... Stay in touch and who knows, I might meet up with you at a Waffle House along I-75!!

Hi all,

Thought I'd drop in to say hi...  Just got my one-year SVR (Woot!) and things are going pretty well.  Riba symptoms are gone and, overall, I'm feeling pretty darn goodsmile  Kind of a bummer that brain fog and aches and pains can't be blamed on it any more though--now it's strictly old age lol.  Started a new job (with the same company).  I'm working in the Tampa area now but we have yet to move this way from central FL.  We're selling our home and buying in this area soon (if I can ever get enough time off to accomplish it).  My wife is still going through some health issues but she's doing a little better every day.  All I can say is, good riddance to 2016!

There's too many of you folks to thank individually because so many of you helped me with my questions (and constant whining), so I'd just like to thank you all as a group.  I have never met a finer collection of caring, knowledgeable people than I have on this forum.  Couldn't have done it without your care and support!

You're in my prayers and I think of you all often.  I promise to stop by say hi whenever I can!
