Hi, Yes we were Bunk Mates on the first Sof Treatment Train. What a ride eh! Nothing soft about that ride when you add Riba to fuel the Locamotive.I was so happy for you back then when you cleared and went UND and stayed that way. I can understand your slight inkling concerning the beast, but you too are a Great Dragon Slayer, you fought your battle and stayed the beast.Congrats on stoping the stogies. You say that was easy! WOW you are one tough Gal.  Thanks for checking in, I enjoyed the journey with you, You inspired me!! RC

I remember you! I remember reading some of your posts from back then! 

Yes, very nice to hear from all the folks, one big family!

I aspire to be just like you and Tig, forever cured (and smokeless sounds good too)!

Wish I had quitzits! Smoking is an addiction I could well loose. It's my one bad habit (well ... jes about my only one - if yas don't count cheating, blabbing, swearing, gluttony, gambling and confabulation.

Ya, you picked a GOOD day say hello and to celebrate with RC!

Wow! Long time, Sister, it’s so good to hear from you again. It has been too long, so don’t let it happen again, lol! 

One thing about those repeat VL’s. After the first couple of years, you really don’t need them to quell your curiosity. In the very remote chance you relapsed, your LFT’s would be the first thing to go awry. Your ALT elevation would be an indicator of a potential problem. As long as your enzymes remain normal (no spikes for unknown reasons) you have nothing to worry about. I gave them (VL) up after my 2.5 year anniversary. I just had my SVR 4 year anniversary, imagine that! All is well, except the weight I’m gaining again. Could be all of the good living, too!

Sorry about the “quitzits”! Trust me, you’re going to really be happy to have beaten the cigarettes. I quit in 90 and after decades of smoking I wasn’t sure how I would do. I found that it got easier and easier with each week. I was still drinking at the time and that was at times the hardest obstacle. I’m glad you don’t have that getting in the way. It’s all will-power! Just don’t let that little voice tell you that “just one won’t hurt”! Nonsense! Stick to it and you’ll have even more to be proud of. You can do it!

Hey there old friends!  I think of you often and figured I would just drop in and tell you all that!  It's hard to believe it's been almost 4 years since I treated - crazy how fast time goes. Interestingly my doctor didn't test me this past May like he had the 2 years prior. I was tempted to ask for the test anyway but I figured docs knows best. But truthfully there's always this little wonder in my head... maybe it will always be there, I don't know. Maybe i'll ask my doc to order one this coming year just to quell those little voices.  On a brighter note, I'm 39 days without a cigarette!  I had to get a tooth pulled so I did it cold turkey and it wasn't bad at all. This week though I've started to develop quitzits. I never had acne like this as a teenager; my skin hasn't been this bad since it was destroyed by the riba.  The interwebs say it will go away eventually.  We shall see.

Well - i hope you are all well and please know that while I may disappear for long periods of time you are in my thoughts and in my heart there will always be a special place for those of you who went through the marathon alongside me as well as those handing out cups of water along the way!
