hubs has even worse sleep disorder than me blankstare

yea,,life would be great with ordered sleep! oh well it's true we have at least 100,000 more miles to go with the cure

as long as i pace myself it all gets done, i have fun and make it to work 3 days a week

sometimes i'm tired but my mind is sharper so i'm more focused and alert and few mistakes now , just the body and head feel kinda rough most of the time.

i am happy that my ability to do the job came back tho, that was reallllllllllllllly scary for awhile.

let's hear it for freed up parts biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Well, I recalled you got a new rad - I just hope the water pump and thermostat solved the problem!

Don't we wish we could just get new free replacement parts to repair what ails us. Just snap in a new sleep fuse, or lube those sore points!

In a way, just with our hepc cures, no free parts (but maybe with freed-up parts) we may have gained another 100,000 miles

Nice your hubby's car is OK now, and that he is feeling a little improved as well. What kind of allergy season is it for you?

"Dis-ordered sleeping" you said .... that's a nice way of putting it - sounds better than insomnia! I too have been feeling disturbed with odd sleep/waking sessions - this would normally be an unusual experience for me - i hope it will quell again (for you and me and all of us who have these sleep oddities.)

Is your hubby a good sleeper? Hope so.

Don't work too hard. : )

hi C,

yea it coulda been a delayed result on the azith; a week later but yea, my body was prob in over drive trying to get me well and get the bad stuff outta there.

but so far so good now..... just continued seasonal allergy and the tiredness that goes with that and age and disordered sleeping....etc,etc,etc.

both cars are happily home and doing good; his car was repaired and didn't have to be totaled , they did a good job. My car got the new radiator for free and i got a new waterpump and thermostat.

we are good to go another 100,000 miles with our old cars

my mr is actually doing good these days , and that makes both of us very happy.

i'm glad you brought the convo over here since the chat thingy does move fast.

how you doing?

5,

Aaaaaah, waaay more room here, than over in the sidebar, so's I kin blab a lot! Everyone knows i am verbose, not concise, hard to contain.

So, back to the 5 day azithromycin treatment for your sinuses - from your "back to work" report today, it seems it has helped quite a bit, and that you did (luckily) manage to grab a few sufficient zzz's, well enough to make going back to work bearable/doable??

I read up on the azithro stuff and it (like many antibiotics) can upset our GI. Do you think your upset gut was explained as simply as that. Too bad so many of these antibiotics have some sort of side, to add bother for us it seems.

I am glad you had some time off, but wish it was time off while you were feeling more tip top. That will come some day - we will get this good timing thing down yet!

How are the cars feeling?? Did you ever get your leaking/radiator mystery thing figured out? And didn't you say hubby car had an accident - i can't recall off hand.

Later, C.

  No, thank YOU 5!

Not many in my circle know about my HepC, or know what I am dealing with right now.  I cannot tell you how comforting it is to have a place where I know the people will understand and not judge, and can give valuable insight to the many ups and downs of treatment and also valuable advice.

I am grateful I found this forum and people like you.   I am SO happy for you.

Wonderful 5, for you and us, to see this day (in all your glory!) SVR 24!!! and another beautiful UND for you! Time flies (sometimes) doesn't it, seems just like yesterday ... my how things move and change. Your good presence here was meant to be.

I note you took a "sick" day the other day, how goes things, are your sinuses being more cooperative yet? Working, working eh? Well, I hope the co-workers and the customers are on their best behaviour, you need and deserve only good company.

Have a nice little celebration with your partner, whatever you think right or nice - maaaaaaybe ... (just a wild guess) - white cake for you and him! He must be feeling very glad for you reaching your SVR24.

A SVR24 UND is like the cherry on top!  ; ) Lucky us who get to celebrate these days.

HA! I just found this unsent post (from yesterday)! - oh well, I am late as usual, nuttin new fer me. shrugs wink

Well my dear 5, after doing your duty here and checking in on all of us with your TLC's earlier today, and then taking care of business at home (chores and what not), and then pulling a work shift - you must be tired by the time your day (or I should say your night shift!) gets done!

I know you said the holidays has set you up for more hours and days of work, but i hope you can and WILL curtail how much you have to work if you feel it IS draining you - you are still "fresh" ya know, still recovering, fighting sinuses and stuff. You need lots of TLC and to not work past your limit where you reach a "taxing" zone from it. Use your good judgement.

What time does a shift normally start and end for you (if you don't book off home early)?

mm, I fret about the stresses of Hoodies work too! Really, I am kinda fretting for everyone who is working! Like Shemp and any of our others who are having to stretch themselves with "work" work - must be doubly hard for Zig what with only having partial work available and only a temporary homebase!

We all do have to count our lucky stars tho, every day, for our amazing abilities. smile C.

Glad youre feeling better 5! Hang in there.

Nasalcrom is the best for allergies. I used to say all the time nasalcrom is the bomb! and recommended it to my mom and everyone else I know with allergies. Sadly I took benadryl too and thats now being linked to dementia in elderly folks.

But I digress! Really glad youre feeling better 5! Big hug

Omg! An  amoeba? !  ? I've used tap water but I usually nuke it to warm it up.  Saline drops might be soothing. I hope you are beyond your sinus issues soon, be well my friend smile

Glad to see the dog story made international news! Boy did I cry on that one, good news for a change.

Tig -- love the family dog and reunion story...we need good news.

During the dry winter months I use bacitracin ointment in my nose at night a few nights per week, along with a humidifier if necessary and it helps keep my sinuses from getting dry and clogged up. I haven't tried the nettie pot, but the humidifier helps for me.

hi C  and obs,

yes, tried nettie pot sort of; a distilled water filled spray bottle works best for me but really doen't seem to help anything ever. and i use nasalcrom and moisturize my nasal passages with vaseline or polysporin depending on when.

i've had sinusitis my whole life with allergies.

i am feeling better. i had plenty of drainage this past week so i think it all passed without getting worse . staying on top of it has beeen working so far... but the allergy part goes on. allergic to dust, trees, heaters, fragrance... i just have very sensitive sinuscry. but otherwise fairly healthy cept for the f3

i still have a bit of discomfort but i'm keeping on my claritin without too many sides.... makes me talk too much and i don't like that too much

i heard about the amoeba, scary.

i'm happy i am able to do chores and errands again....and yes i worked all thru it . i still rest a lot no matter what

5... have you tried a neti pot? If you do use one...always only use distilled or boiled water and clean the pot thingy really well.... I just read about some poor woman who died from an ameoba in her brain because she used tap water.

what about steam? a sauna?

It sure would be nice to figure out whats causing your sinus issues.

Saw the doggy thing on TV! aw

5,

Is the sinus tap still turned on (or has it turned itself off again)? Are you still draining/pouring/snuffling or not? Don't people who often have sinus problems, don't they say the sinus discomfort/pressure is increased when you are NOT draining? Perhaps feeling some kind inner head/ear pressure/sinus relief if you ARE draining?? Must make working hard (either way, runny or not runny)! C.

I read an article last night about a homeowner that lost everything early in the fire, including their big fluffy family dog. They were unable to return to their home before the fire destroyed it and that meant their pet was on his own, too. They were just allowed back on their property and to their amazement, the dog was there, weeks later, protecting the property that was once his home. They were all happily reunited. That’s what I call a prayer answered!

Hey 5,

Generous of you to do that extra and ongoing pulling for Ziggy's fund. Very nice of you - I know her plight for many of us is pulling at our heartstrings, so, those of us who can share, share what we can. Good to see the fund-me page goal has reached $2000 out of $3000, likely your donations have helped very much. ; )

c, hubs bought the tiramasu cake, i wasnt even sure what the ingredients were, but thot it was coffee or cinnamon

i wouldn't be making anything that complicated.

your labs sound good, i'll get more next year.

i have soft kleenex and i am still blowing cry, at this point its hard to tell if that's good or bad , it could be my sinus draining or the beginning of more days of blowing... i'm praying for relief by thurs nite as i do have to work. i've been in bed for 2 days, so at least i've got some rest.

my holiday work schedule is too many work days due to events and others needing time off. i figured i could volunteer to help, didn't know i'd get sick.

but i can go in and they will let me go home if i feel too bad. i'm hoping it isn't awful. it's a yearly thing with all of us getting sick and passing it down the line.

i will go see the dr on my next days off and get the antibios if i can't get well.

ok, back to watching the old 'sabrina the teenage witch', it's great to be able to stream this from hulu

5,

I forgot to tell you that I had to look up that "tiramasu" that you mentioned you made at Thanksgiving? ... OMG, does that ever sound good. I googled recipes, I guess it is (kinda) like trifle but only in that there could be many differnt ways it can be made? I saw quite a few variations, but the basic coffee an cream an rich and sweet, mm, mm, all my fav things alright. Ya, sometimes i wish you and Obs could just mail me meals, OK?

I make a mean pot of boiled water, so I'm good for hot honey lemonades, which i could share out lavishly it seems this time of year with all our oldie coldies around here! Hope your bed feels soft on the bod and your kleenex is soft to your nose! Hope your head is feeling OK enough for work?

You and polo and others get your Cal and D levels done, and you said to let you know my recent (first-ever) ones?  Got my results back, normal Cal. My D is only a wee bit lowish - 70. (Severe low would be less than 25. Moderate to mild deficiency is 75 to 200. Ideal is 75 to 200.) So I am not bad at all. : ) C.

No. I'll google up info on that one too. Thank you guys, I do like a good flick once in a while. This seems to be the new go-to place for "the movie review channel". smile C.

Hey 5,

Hope your sinuses are going to improve quickly.

Further to our "sidebar" chattering, about colds/flues/sinuses and such, we also touched on movies (curling up at home with a hot lemonade and a good movie sounded wise) ... and you mentioned Christmas movies?, and specifically a Christmas one, with Russell Crowe?? I googled it and, nada. Did i misunderstand what I was searching for? C.
