Morning Boxers, Ragdoll and I will be heading over in just a couple hours. Jimmys is a nice restaurant at the Silver Cloud Hotel on Broadway just a block and a half down from the Swedish Hospital Entrance on Broadway. The address is 1100 Broadway (corner Broadway and Madison).  Looking forward to meeting you both!  Will call tonight.    RC

Hi Deb.  That med list of yours will be down to just the Tac twice a day!!     It seems and looks like so many pills but be patien. I cant believe I am just down to the Tac 2X a day. Its not that big a deal.  We will call you tomorrow when we get into town. Chris and I were thinking Breakfast at Jimmys on Broadway Friday morning?  Hows that sound?  Looking forward to seeing you.   RC

Sounds to me like everything is going very well. I’m so glad to have you keeping the updates current. You have so many friends here and we are all excited with your progress. Your Doctor may be leaning toward caution by recommending a wound team/program. If it’s easily accomplished, I would recommend following through with the consult. You may find they are in complete agreement with you, or not. You don’t want something easily managed now to complicate things later. Just a thought.

Say hi to RC and Chris for me tomorrow. I’m a member of their fan club! Such wonderful friends. I wish you continued good luck and progress! Please keep the updates coming...

PS: No Duck Tours yet! Ha, Ha!! wink

Wow Boxers .... you sound like you are doing incredibly well. I was on higher doses of tacro and cellcept (mycophenolate) at 3 weeks post, but no prenisone. Hell, I'm still on higher tacrolimus at 18 months post.

That's just terrifiic. A routine procedure. Congratulations.

I mean, the "Duck" tours two weeks out?

Far out.

Well, day 17 and they pulled some of the staples but I would have been happy to wait awhile. You do feel like a zipper is in place but I have a history of the skin not healing well due to years of prednisone. I have a small area on my far right side that was weeping quit a bit post surgical and here at the hotel. It is slowing down but Anatoly said that it was "dehising" a bit. Anatoly wants me to see a wound team just to lay some other eyes on it, Kimberly (coordinator) is running with it but truthfully I don't see the need for a "wound team". I keep the entire site clean with hibeclens, betadine and finally neosporine with a dressing. The drainage is minuscule now. No fever, foul drainage or anything that indicates an infection. I did not have drains when I left but I agree the scars and healing at those sites seem to take longer, at least with my last surgery (hernia repair). I wish I could get "the team" in one room to nail down a discharge date, they all seem to say it depends on the other person. I think the hepatologist is the key to get home. Sounds like RC and I have the same team, Dr. P , Anatoly, Kimberly and Melissa. They keep commenting on Dr. Hart but I can not picture him/her.

Med. list:

Tacrolimus (Prograf) 1 mg. 2 in am 2  pm

Mycophhenolate  180mg.    3 in am  3 pm

Prednisone  15mg              1 in am

Bactrim                              1 in am

Valganciclovir    450mg       2 in am

Fluconazole 200mg             1 in am

Amlodipine 10mg                1 in am

Omeprazole                        1 in pm

Ursodiol 300mg                  1 in am, 1 noon and 1 pm

As you can see most are in the morning.

Plan to get moving and see a movie later today. Will see RC tomorrow.
