Wish there was a better (more convenient for you) "interim" solution to the problem. Like a-closer-to-your-locale place you could be at, until you get this problem of him, sorted. ,

Is it posible, that you two might reconsider and end up staying/ living in the same house, perhaps under slightly different terms, perhaps this has happened before where it felt you were "near" ending your relationship as you know it, but then it turned out you two have decided to stick it out? Or, are you sure you and he are definitely done.

If so, if that is the direction you intend on going right now, then the work and steps involved will require you be "near" your house, so you can safegaurd it, and possibly be near to the courts (if required) to do what is required. You need to be near to home if your community contacts and interests/work/church things are important to you and a necessary draw to you. If you CAN just drop everything you could try to camp at your Mother's place long term (with your animals I guess), and work at getting him to leave from 200 miles away, but ... distance is difficult to work from.

It's too bad it is such a difficult thing to do, to orchestrate finding yourself another place for you to live - nearby - (and to home your cat, and birds, and turtles) to avoid him for the short term.

Keep thinking about your friends offer (the one with the new big house)?

Check out local community emergency safe houses, just in case, as a fail-safe, as he seems too volatile for my comfort level. You mentioned "addict"? Is he in midst of an addition problem? Great (NOT)!

Are you on good terms with his family? Can they be of any useful assistance in "certain" ways, perhaps such as convincing him the best thing would be to vacate the home/leave the relationship? You spoke of him perhaps going to live with his Mother?†

Are there any other "ties" to consider, that are going to make it difficult for you and he to make "a clean" break? Such as financial/dependent ties, where you must still be in contact? You are going to have to pave the way(s).

Tired and under duress, but still you are doing a very fine and valiant job Iris, under trying circumstances. You ARE going to get through all of this, and the past will be past, and MUCH better things are in store for you my dear - I just know it! Rest when you can, and just keep going. C.

Hi Iris

Unfortunate situation. I would advise keeping your beans hidden. Mr. sounds like the kind that would flush them on you just to be a p***k. I hope you sort things out . Remember right now you come first.†

Mr. should thank his stars that ribavirin wasn't part of your treatment cause he might have been deceased by now.†furious

So I visited the Vampire today. Same young man as last time. He is pretty funny and that lightens things up a bit. He uses a butterfly needle on me, my arm is pretty poked up from the continual blood tests, 3 times a year for 40 what-ever years. Found that thing hurts less and leaves a smaller hole. Now for the waiting....tic tic tic tic tic. I see the Hepatologist next Tuesday. Oh anxious week.

I'm sorry you're having to deal with all of this BS right now (or ever), Iris. Maybe the bangers next door will take care of the problem for you? God forbid, but your Mr. doesn't sound entirely grounded in common sense sometimes. You be cautious and if you see trouble brewing, you grab your bottles of magic beans and get the h*ll out of there. You don't need that kind of grief in your life.

Thank you guys, it's all so complicated...tramatic bonding and all. Messes with my esteem. The truck was my fathers passed along to him after my dad died.† We are the only ones in the house, besides the old cat, we have 2 turtles and two ringneck doves. I have asked him to leave and recently told him to please stay at his moms but he won't leave. The house belongs to my mother and she is contemplating selling it. Mr was supposed to be doing improvements, but the kitchen and bath were like hell, he hasn't done a thing since that (2006) other than mow the lawn and water like a maniac until we are into 4 tier billing. doh† im very angry at his disregard for other peoples property, and ya I realize I can't control the actions of another but when it comes to perhaps getting sued I cannot sit by and say oh poor addict, I won't confront you, BALONEY,† (by the way this is not the first time this sort of thing has happened it gets much worse and Id rather not rant any further at this time) I may go to mom's for a few days but the church has an event this weekend so I'll need to be back by Friday. I can stay at a friend's, she is moving to a large house this weekend and said I could have a room, but I really don't like imposing. My daughter has like -0- room at her place, unfortunately. And that would be weird with her boyfriend around. I dunno, this is stressing me out which seems to make me feel more ill. My back can hardly hold me up I feel so weak. That's one reason I don't want to pack stuff and drive all that ways to moms. (aprox 200 miles) but I have a feeling I'll go anyway, after my 1st blood works since starting treatment Monday morning. I really would like to stay home, I have my own car (new used certified) that is currently undergoing an oil consumption test...supposed to drive 1200 miles and bring it back, heck I just went 3000 miles all over the southwest!† Oh sigh...I'll† go now

kudos to you iris for starting the new bottle inspite of the chaos around you.

yes, start calling around to see what you can do about 1.keeping him out, or 2. you getting out till you can get your place to yourself.

it is always sad when one persons insanity hurts everyone around them. i pray you get some peace, and not from a heart attack.

Iris,

When one is not able to control another, or the actions of another, when the actions of the offender is impacting you and others negatively, removal of the offender from the situ (or just temporary separation of the parties) IS an answer (one answer) - but it may only be transient/temporary and or may NOT happen in a timely fashion.

Another temporary option is to have the impacted people (you) leave the proximity of the offender, keeping yourself out of the way of witnessing and being the recipient of the unpleasant actions of the offender.

Complicating matters would also be ... if there are any other people living in your place, aside from you and him? Pets? If so, then you have to take into account others in the household too, in regard to seperating yourself from him.

Do YOU have another place to go (nearby)? Can you move your cat with you, or give it to your daughter for care. Are you legally able to drive (you mentioned you had to take a remedial driving class?), and do you and he share only one vehicle?- who's vehicle is it and who drives the vehicle? Below you spoke of him driving "Dad's" truck (his Dad or your Dad?), so, do you each have your own vehicles?, and are you able to drive yours? I hope he does have a vehicle of his own. This makes being apart easier, as is, if you are also BOTH legally able to drive. I hope he has freinds or family or a place he can decide to go to.

IF you have the transportation means, and a place to go, at minimum, I would keep considering the possibility of removing yourself from his proximity when he is operating in a unpleasant un-controlled way.

As disruptive as this may be (to you and your life/work) to have to remove yourself from your home to solve this immediate/current situ, it is an option (temporary for you), to resolve a unpleasant episode/period, until a time, in the future, when the problem is more permanently solved.

It's very inconvenient, and it should not have to be so, but I would pick a safe place to go to, not too far away, so you can still try to carry on your normal routines of life, as is possible.

Does he have any other place to go? His own friends, family, vehicle, etc? Makingeit very easy (enticing/desirable, to him) for him to leave (his decision, where he would personally decide this is a better option for him), would seem best.

Sorry Iris, tough situ, not pleasant, wish i could think of something helpful that would help for sure and fast. C.

Well, good and bad news today.

1st pill from the round 2 battle bottle is down the hatch just when the Mr. pulled up and pushed the neighbors car with his truck...because he don't like anyone parking in front of our house. So what? It's a public freaking street! I yelled at him,† the neighbor saw him push her car, I hope she calls the police but they are gang members so that's doubtful. Then he tore out of here so hard and fast in dads old little truck I was sure he would drop the tranny right there, or crash or hurt someone. I don't have the energy for this, I called the Sheriff to see about changing the locks, I have to have a restraining order first, court closed today, don't know if I have the energy for that now. But in this moment...Right now,† I'm so frigging mad, I fear a heart attack,† so it feels a little better to get some of this off my chest.

Dang

Yeah!! One bottle of magic beans down, two to go! Last night was a full blood moon, so it imparted mega magic on those beans. They likely glow in the dark! Dragon power has no strength, itís like kryptonite on lizards, ha, ha!

I found your shower head company and found all of that information very interesting. I wondered about the cartridges and how long they last. Looks like 6-8 weeks on average and that seems pretty reasonable for what it provides. Lots of different kinds of heads and aromas. I might have to consider that as a gift to myself, lol! And my wife of course!†wink

Keep up the good fight, Iris! Youíre a third of the way to the Hep C free life youíve been after for so long. Drink that water and then drink some more...

Well, thanks be to all! And esp. to Lady See the Light, with the words that will likely linger on!!

I had fun thinking about the various aspects to incorporate, course what I would like in the larger version is the vine sort of wrapping around a thrashing dragon. I have pictures in my head that just don't come out how I planned, so not sure if it'll happen.

Only got up to 109 yesterday, hahaha...only. Guess once it had hit 117 anything less seems tolerable. Today was around 104... Peace out everyone!

I completely missed the post below about the chemicals! Thanks for the direction, STL! I looked and looked, but failed to see it right in front of me, geez! Those are strong poisons, Iris. Of course Iím not telling you antyhing you didnít already know. YouĎre so right, we donít know the half of it. We grew up in a time when these companies didnít have to tell us squat. Now, decades later, they still avoid answering questions, but itís getting better.

Ok! Here's my little painting of the magic bean!

With a couple closer ups. I may make a larger version. This is done with water color crayons and pencils, then sharpened up with colored pencil.

A couple explanations, the leaves are supposed to be liver shaped, not crazy with the way they came out, but I'm always very critical of my work. The purple hook shape things are the claws of the dragon in battle, the flower is a lovely healthy yellow of properly functioning liver the C is the dragon slain, you see his little head upside down there, with the word FREE escaping from the C. At the bottom is the seed the kernal of miracles, the Magic Bean.

Hope you guys enjoy! Blessings, Iris

I used Quest, still do and have had very good service from them. If you have an online portal with them, your results post quickly. No complaints at all and their staff has always been friendly and professional. Let us know the news when you get it. I think youíll be pleasantly shocked by the results. These DAAís work!

having a bit of issue tryin to post, wonder what that was....

Hey Tig I went looking and these are the chemicals they were trying to address. "tetrachloroethylene and trichloroethylene". The company was Northrup-Grumman. I almost wish I would have had the monitor, I really need to call them and see what the end results were. We had a couple trees go south real suddenly when they started to "treat" the ground. I'm sad to hear about your child hood hunting grounds, how very freaking scary. I imagine this sort of thing is very much more widespread than we know. How hard we have all been on our earth, I think of Morrison, "what have we done to the earth? what have we done to our fair sister..." don't know the solution, but I can say it is way less smoggy here nowadays then it was in the late 60's early 70's.confuse

So you guys, it's pretty warm here, and I have my new meds that were just delivered in the front room where the ac is but in the back of the house it's 85 already and they were in this room yesterday, I forgot to look at the thermometer, I hope they are ok.

ya 5-1, I have had a couple, omg! did I take the pill? and then I thought I missed a couple appointments, one was a wed. eve. class and the other was traffic school ( ya, 1st ticket in 33years, I blame it on the rented car!) last time the speedo was broken). In both temporary "Oh Nooooo" cases, I realized it wasn't till the next day, I hadn't missed my classes I guess that may be my biggest complaint with the meds is feeling like lead and Super duper brain fog.

Blessings, Iris

Iris,

That Vit C shower sounds pretty cool! Tell me more about that if you would. Do you have a cartridge that has the vitamin C in it? What's the brand name and I can look it up. That sounds invigorating! I'm so sorry about your water conditions there, how sad and tragic that is. Knowing you've been living above that for so long could be worrisome if you thought about it too much. Try not to and just reduce the exposure and do your best to keep those government agencies on your radar. Make sure they do everything they possibly can to correct the situation. I'm curious about what they're injecting into the ground. Something to kill a poisonous chemical must be strong in it's own right! Then the radiation scare from that lab, wow! You're right though, the damage is done and sad that the only way to clean it up is to remove the location, literally dig it up and throw it away.

I had a junkyard near my house that had hundreds of large tanks, huge things that were as big as train cars that this guy collected, among other junk. We played in those things for years, climbing into them, playing on them, making forts in the smaller ones. He had thousands of 55 gallon oil drums littering the place, too. Some leaking, it was a mess, but you know it got on our shoes at some point. Long story short, the guy died of old age and the county went into this thing, it was right next to my elementary school, and they wanted the land for a new park. Lo and behold, they found out those were barrels of dioxins and other chemicals. I guess he was paid to store them there back when it was still unknown. They classed it as a Super Fund Waste Site and it took bringing in heavy equipment and specialize crews in protective gear to dig down some 20 feet I'm told and remove all the dirt to another location or incinerator. Go ahead and burn it and put the smoke in the air! Craziness. They didn't even close the elementary school after they found out! It was literally right across the street! Aye-Aye-Aye, face palm...

Glad your next bottle of beans arrived safely! You shouldn't have any issues, but we all think about the what if. Good deal! Your heat sounds like ours. It was 87 at 9am with 78% humidity. I don't need a shower, I just walk outside and take a sauna! Brutal stuff! This time of year is miserable here (Southern Florida Gulf Coast) The land that hurricane Irma destroyed last September. We had a direct hit, lots of damage and I'm still waiting on a new roof, 10 months later. Big backlog on supplies. At least it's scheduled and after 3 appeals, I got the insurance company to pay up. It seems everything is a fight these days. Oh well, persistence pays off and we will survive!!

Stay cool!

Hey thanks for all your great words C.† Coffee was excellent :)†

Iforgot the name of the chemical but they came around and cored holes in the ground to supposedly inject something to nutralize it. It all sounds bad to me. But then we used to play in the mountains where† the Santa Susana Feild Lab is when I was growing up, I suppose I'm all aglow.no†It really is quite sad that area was ruined. A cave full of petroglyphs† that sits in alignment to the sun at winter solstice where the local native people used to meet, is in this area. They wanted to scrape everything 3 inches down to clean the radioactivity up, dont know what's instore for the cave or trees or rocks, thats alot of scraping, seems very little too late, all the wells and downstream is pau.†

The vitamin C shower feels so very spa like! It's great taking this time to concentrate on the little things in this wellness journey. Thought I would have lost weight being I haven't had an ale since about a week before the first magic bean, hummm, maybe too much ice cream? Hey...it's been hot right? LoL

So here's today's great news!,!! The next Rx arrived by Fed Ex this a.m.!,!! Yeaaaaaaa, was really worried there would be a problem with the delivery thing, never did pills that way, and the heat thing has me on edge about keeping them below 86 degrees it's supposed to be up to 110 this week, Eeeeekkk!

Bkessings all, Iris

Iris,

Oh I am so glad that new shower feels good and looks good on you, a small reward for having to go thru that dreadful realization of discovering the upsi-daisy non-existent water filtration you thought you had been having for all those years - good grief!. No wonder the old filters always looked clean. I had to giggle, but IT'S NOT funny, really. Horrors in fact, to imagine the humans had been the only filters of any muck for all this time, well ... not exactly true, perhaps some of it got filtered out via sediment in the pipes calcifying up so it moves nowhere, and in the hot water tank, kettle, coffee maker, dishwasher, even a coffee filter can help a bit. Well, so we shall now see how much better a glass of water or a cuppa tastes.

Now everyone is going to want one of those Vit C shower things! Gunna havta google that up now and see how much they cost. I could sure do with a 5 years younger effect - hm, maybe I could get 2 of them? Aim each one of them at one side of my face and body at the same time? Seriously glad it did make you feel/look better though. (I have never heard of such a thing). One way to try to help revive yourself after feeling like you have gone through that wringer you described.†

I have been trying to go the the community centre dry sauna for a sweat about once per week lately, but boo, the sauna broke down this week. Figure a sweat couldn't hurt to try do drain away any unhealthy toxic stuff I may be hanging on to?†

Your doing good Iris, whether you believe it or not, your 4 week labs are coming up right shortly and I am betting my bottom dollar you and your doc will be pleased.

It must be on another page or thread, but tell me again how many times you will be going for labs and VL's (and/or doc appointments) throughout your 12 weeks?

This plume thing under your house and offers of monitors doesn't sound so great! What innocuous thing IS supposed to be in the water table around your parts?

Later, C.†

Oh Hey Hoodie, our posts crossed or something, but good to meet you!
I have no problem with what ever you want to say about Mr. I'm pretty much over him and that bums me out, I saw such a different person when we met, blindsided I guess. I must focus on myself and not him anymore.
Feel free to make your own thread about your journey, I try to stay on top of everyone's path.
Congratulations on your quest to slay the Beast! Excelsior!
Blessings, Iris

Ya know, I wondered about that...could the water have been making everyone feel a bit yucky all the time? My husband complains constantly that he feels unwell yet won't go to the Dr. I figured my unwell feeling was the hep C.† We also have a chemical plume flowing in the water table below our house caused by a factory that used to be a few blocks away, they say it's not harmful, but wanted to put a monitor in our house. I didn't sign up.

I don't know if I'm imaging this but that shower filter is freaking amazing!!, my skin already is looking so much better and with the nevus fading I wanna say I look 5 years younger! LoL!

Onward! Iris

Iris, I am new here, nice to meet you. Im posting over in Epclusers Corner, But I wanted to tell you that you have so much courage and beauty that comes across in your posts.†

When I read about Mr @&$); I become infuriated on your behalf! †Please hang in there and dont let that bastard drag you down! Im sure you probably love him, but I dont know him so Im allowed to say that :: I hope someday the two of you will be able to look back at this and laugh. If that seems unnecessarily harsh or if you dont appreciate me talking **** about your husband I will delete it and never mention it again. Just know that I am on YOUR side not his.

Im starting Epclusa on July 26 so will be in this journey together, girlfriend. Stay strong!

Hey there, so here's an up date and an OMG realization ...I was glad to have recently run into the man who used to service our water filter, been a loooooong time maybe 20 years, I told him I needed to drink copious water and my filter probably needed changing. Well, he just left, come to find out the plumbers had installed it wrong when we remodeled the kitchen back in 2005. I had replaced the filter a couple times but they never seemed that dirty. Holy cow, have been drinking basically regurgitated tap water for over 13 years, coffee, everything all this time, ugh..I have a stomach ache. In any case he fixed it and now I have beautiful crystal clear sparklie refreshing, Water. He also installed a filter with Vitamin C for the showerhead. I heard those were excellent for detoxifying skin and I imagine those critters are coming out of everywhere, spit em out cry em out pee em out poo em out out with dead skin? I feel so lucky to have had this finally happen, yet† I find myself going through many changes in a day, been way more emo than normal.

this is going to be Great in the A.M.†biggrin

Made arrangements for the next delivery with the pharmacy it will come next Monday. I'll have to hang around until the Fed Ex guy shows. Well what the heck, I should be hanging around anyway wink So I'm excited, It will come in time to be charge up in the full Moon light once again!

bb, Iris

Just starting the third week, so 2 weeks down. Today I am really wiped out. I had to teach a class last night but it was talking, not all that physical. Sorta feels like I was rolled through one of those laundry wringers.

Thank for the great other ideas, I may have to invest in headphones that sounds good as does the library...do they have a bed there? lol! Good AC anyway.

So sore, and tired like a lead weight. BB, Iris

Speaking of good ideas, I've been liking the ideas I have been hearing from both 5 and Iris! I think Iris does need some extra tactics right now, to help her through treatment as easily as possible. I thought it good Iris when you mentioned going to a meeting, as there was A/C there, plus the people there are helpful, open, and know you and may have a pretty good idea what things may be like for you right now - they would be a good choice as an out and an away - good company. I liked 5's idea of the headphones/music as that is a pleasurable but handy "avoidance" tactic - when the two of you are pushing each others buttons, and one or the other cannot stop (it's so easy to be on "automatic"), avoidance works - if you must be cooped up in the same room at the same time, and you cannot leave the room, then the headphone/musac thing might work for a while, don't listen to him or the stupid TV, better yet avoid him entirely.

Better than sharing space with an irritating situ, avoid potentially volatile interactions, perhaps devise some further seperations, ie. depending on the time of day that you two would be drawn together into duelling territitory, instead,†find another place to go, even if it is just in the shower you are going to escape to for a 1/2 hour - plan to go out to an A/C mall near you at a certain time for a certain period of time?!, take a book, a water bottle and a cushion to sit on, and read a few chapters, you can do a reading marathon there and do walkabouts in the A/C mall, and, they are open late? - how about doing the library, it will have A/C, computers, etc. Find a second meeting group you can go to and join. Go to a public swimming pool for a paddle and a shower, look for some low key community events or a rec centre to go to. Depending on the time of day and temp, take a blanket and escape with your book and water to a public park and park it in the shade.† Late night walks in the cool of the evening ... anything to stay out of each other hair, proximity, to avoid the duelling hours - all to gain you one iota of non-conflict, you cannot count on the other person to change to accomodate your justifiable needs, so, you will have to be the one to do something to help yourself instead. It should not have to be this way, but when help is short you've got to do self-defense stuff. You are going to have to try to orchestrate your own peace of mind to find a little bit more rest, even if it is only a wee bit of rest from stress.

That's all I can think of at the moment.†smile†C.

Thanks for encouraging words 5-1-18, Oh, and thanks Canuk, I forget about the salt water gargle, I'll use the Himalayan salt that ought to do it !
Thanks for the reminder, and yea I will try to take it easy you guys its hard when there really is only one cool room in the house, by late in the afternoon I have to move to that room and be subjected to either listening to the garbage tv or get in an argument about it.

SO, Starting week 3!!! This may go quicker than I thought!

Take it as slow and easy as you can Iris, stay home, lay low, conserve energy, try to be on the quiet side, even when all around you (everyone else and everything else) is trying to make it impossibe for you to do so, try to ignore the negatives surrounding you, and just try to self-nurture - remove yourself from the negatives surrounding you as much as you can, a shower sounds good!, doing quiet art or interests in the home sounds good, sneaking out for a late night walk in the cooler air. Ice lollies, your fav TV show, whatever it might be that provides you just little bits of comfort. Look for and let the smallest positive things please and soothe you a bit, even if it is only for minutes at a time. In between the popsicles, try gargling with hot salt water (at least a few times per day) to see if that soothes your throat - that almost ALWAYS soothes my sore throat when i get one. Good ole water is such a wonderful cure for so many things! About a 1/2 teaspoon of salt in a glass of really quite hot water (keep salt, glass and spoon in bathroom) - use quite hot water and stir to dissolve salt, hot water, but not so hot as to burn your throat at all, just nice and hot, and enough salt that it tastes quite salty, gargle repeatedly with renewed mouthfuls of the the hot salt water, for at least a few minutes per overall session. I find right after I have finsished gargling with hot salt water, i often have less throat pain almost immediately, and if it is bacteria that is the culprit behind a sore throat over the course of a day with repeated garglings it helps very much in keeping the bacterial colony counts down and from growing, thus perhaps helping to cure a sore throat better/sooner.† When you have finished gargling, leave the hot salt water residue in your throat, ie. do not rinse your throat with plain water to remove the salty tast for example, and do not immediately eats sweets and bathe your throat in sugar again for a while. Give the hot salt water bath you just gave your throat a little time to do it's magic. You can wipe your tongue wit plain water if you find the salt water gargle residue in your mouth too salty. Leaving our throat bathed in sugar, may not help one iota, especially if we are fighting some kind of sore throat - both my partner and I have had experience with that one, and we don't always like to do hot water/salt gargles, but we are almost always helped when we do!

Hoping for some better easier days ahead for you Iris. They will come! C.

So today I'm pretty worn out. Have been a little dizzy (-er than normal) and that neck/throat thing is still bugging me, and I have a pretty consistent headache, some minor hallucinations and a few major Oooops, like I forgot which was the hot or cold in the shower. Last night had the toidy trots but I probably ate something that didn't agree. The Dr. called yesterday to see if I was having any sides and I told her all that was going on. She said I might feel pretty crummy for a few weeks.

HEY JILL!!!! So glad to see you, thanks for swinging by. You guys... this woman was one of the best support people when I first landed here so long ago. and I would like to thank her publicly... You're a sweetheart Jill biggrin Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!

Not that the rest of ya'll aren't great, you are! and I thank everyone's input because this feels like a very lonely journey in my house.

The battle with the ants invading my home is reminding me of the battle that must be waging inside my body. I feel weird waves of tingles in different areas that almost feel like sweeps and then it's clear or relieved. I'm a terribly sensitive person physically (and empathetically) so I hope the course will let up with the funny feelings in a few weeks as the Dr. said. I'm appeasing the energies of Water to be more open and available to me...to call me forward and make me drink!

I've started on the picture of the beanstalk, will post soon, I hope!

BB, Iris

Iris,

You absolutely should stay on top of things and be an active part of this forum! I routinely warn folks to stay away from the scary information out there. I canít tell you how many times people have read the wrong things and avoided treatment. If you ever see something on this forum that concerns you, please let me know and Iíll personally look at it. These new protocols are easier than anything from the past. There are some complaints with every treatment, but these are absolutely manageable! Weíre here to help and guide you through any rough spots or questions.

The initial feelings you might experience at first typically resolve in the first two or three weeks. Youíre taking some powerful ďmagic beansĒ and they will let you climb that beanstalk with ever increasing confidence! I promise...†wink

iris, when i was taking my magic beans i enjoyed reading all the success stories

but it did help me to read when someone had this or that and then they turned out to be ok.

i had some weird days on the beans, but it never got too bad and i could always manage.

i was a little scared to think the bad feeling was here and i was sad that it was happening but i managed that all anyway.

it's def a strong treatment and we are lucky to be getting the cure

Tig, the stuff I was reading was here on this forum, perhaps I should stay away.† So far Im feeling mostly ok, weird waves of Ucky hit met several times in a day. I found I'm going to need like 9 of those chalices full to make a gallon, my bladder and kidneys don't know what the heck is going on. The Mr. will be useless, it's taken me some time (years) to come to terms with that. Hoping these beans will help me find new courage as well. Are symptoms cumulative?,or can I expext the way I have felt to be the course of it.

I did have a couple real super bonehead how could I forget that kind of events, eee.

Thank you all so much for your input, your support is precious to me.

Iris

yea, i agree, let the mr know that this is like chemo , he might understand that better.

when you have a bit of energy, gather together anything he might need for a day or 2 and put it on the counter or table [including the keys]. and let him know you just can't be there for everyone like you used to until you can.

my mr took the harvoni and was a big baby [he over did it everyday doing yardwork and cried every nite]. but he did drink the water.

i worked most of my treatment and rested a lot and took care of myself and let him know that i had the harvoni flu when he pestered me too much. [yea, and he knows how it goes on the harvoni].

i guess cos we look fine we look available....

anyway, hang in there and drink the water, and for sure, hang up the hard work outs for now.

Hey Iris,

Yes the fatigue and fog with both diminish..eventually (and its awesome not to wake up exhausted)biggrin ...But for now dont worry about anything except for taking your meds and taking care of yourself.

Its always difficult for super-mom type people to delegate but it is actually worthwhile for you to try doing that during your treatment when you have family or friends over for dinners etc... as for your Mr....I agree with Tig..sit him down and tell him..the next 3 months are all about you and your healing..and he better do everything in his power to support you...

†Gentle walks for a while...major hikes next summer, ok?†

Hi Iris,

Do yourself a favor, quit googling or reading up on all the ďwhat ifísĒ right now. It doesnít help anything and 90% of it is bogus, unless itís coming from a legitimate source. Thereís so much bad information out there. Upsets me when I see how much information being shared isnít true.†

The first few weeks can be daunting on any of these treatments. Do your best to relax, stay home when you can and take care of yourself. Donít let the stress overwhelm you and that begins too easy when you allow it. Eat well, hydrate like nobodyís business and rest. Take a pass on all the exercise, this isnít the time for it. Take it up after youíre done. Itís okay to stay active and by active, I mean walking. You had a hard time getting to this point, do your best to finish with flying colors, not worn out! Sit Mr. &#@* down and explain your expectations! He has to realize what it took you to get to this point. That shouldnít be too much to ask of him, right? I sure hope not! †-jmho-

Try slacking off the water a couple of hours before bedtime and you might be able to cut down on one or two trips to pee at night. As long as youíre getting your intake in over 24 hours, you should be good.

Get a suction cup and put his keys on the bathroom mirror...†wink

hi iris , these are strong medicine to cure our virus so there will be some side effects that go along with it.

brain fog and fatigue seem like the main ones. the brain fog comes and goes, the tiredness might be here for the duration and beyond for awhile.Plus your immune system is already working hard to help the magic beans get the job done.

i still don't have stamina like i did but there are 2 things going on. 1. my immune system is prob in overdrive right now repairing damage and making sure the virus stays stopped.

2. recovering from the harvoni takes a little time too.

it's all worth it becos the virus will do worse to us

rest when ever you can to help your body heal itself.

hang in there, it will be over before you know it and you will thank yourself for taking this one day at a time.

Thank you two, I'm sure I shouldn't "feel" much in one day but I felt like Lead weight yesterday. Could be because my daughter and I went on an epic hike on Friday to celebrate her birthday. She was pretty sore too, but she was like dancing up the hill and I was huffing and puffing. We got to a lovely vista that on a clear day we can see all of Los Angeles down to Palos Verdes. Sunday she came over for bbq with the beau and my bro came too. I ended up doing all the work... mr. &%$#@!† was of no help.

I hope I will have a smooth time of this, was just reading some after-treatment posts which so far are scaring the "bleep" out of me. I have terrible brain fog anyway and some of the other stuff, Yikes! I wanted to type something and already forgot, Oh yea...the water thing. I peed 4 times last night.hmm Maybe that is what causes the sleeplessness? LoL † and still not sure if I drank a gallon. 5 Perrier cans at the bbq and 4 full chalices in the day and one more after dinner.

Still super tired Mr. *&^%$ lost his car keys this a.m. and woke me to use mine, had to get out to a breast ultrasound anyway. But I have always woke up exhausted. Will that go away after treatment? Sure would be nice to wake refreshed..
