Yeah, MissusB.  Those first days are hard.  I smoked on and off for some time many years ago but never fully quit until I felt the grasp of being addicted.  It became hard to do without.  That was the trigger for me.  No way will I be owned by an addiction that was designed to keep me depositing money into the tobacco industry.  That's their plan, not mine.  Mine was to reclaim my power and self determination.

As a reward, I took the money (big bucks, these day) that I spent on cigarettes, put it into a jar marked "Vacation Fund".  The jar turned into a box and I felt rewarded every time I got to do something I thought I couldn't afford. It adds up.

Good luck with this. Don't be too discouraged if you cave in.  Just get back and board and get better.

Fantastic!! The Hubs, too? That’s excellent. It’s not easy, but so worth the fight. Proper hydration and diet are uber important, especially now. I know you’ll be successful, because that’s the way we roll around here, lol!

Still chugging water.:..hope that helps with the smoking cessation .  Today has been hard, but I made it.  Have alot of encouragement from family & friends.  Hubby giving up cigs too so that makes it somewhat easier

Good for you, MissusB!!!!  Your are done, and having normal liver tests is extra cool.

I'm so glad you are moving forward, and I applaud your intention to kick the cigs. They're like a virus in their own right, healthwise.  You can do it!  I gained a lot of strength after being cured.

WOOHOO!! Congrats MissusB, that’s great news and I couldn’t be happier for you. I quit smoking in 1990 and never looked back. The first few weeks took the most adjustment. You will realize (be amazed) at the control it had on your life. There are many, many benefits from quitting.

HUZZAH!! sounds like you are well on you way to being Dragon free.

And a special kudo in kicking the smoking dragon to the curb, I wish you the very best, a most difficult challenge. Remember whenever you have a craving to take several really, really big breaths, that should help get over some humps. Congratulations!!!

Moving over from on treatment to post treatment board.  3 month post treatment labs on Dec 23 RNA undetected, normal liver enzyme!  So thankful for those DIA drugs!  Giving up cigarettes today...going to slay another dragon
