Had that too.  I don't know what caused it but I got it right after my first shot and also in the leg where I gave myself the injection.  I have no idea whether there was any correlation.  The pain went away after a few days although it was pretty intense.  If it doesn't go away pretty soon please check with your doc.  BTW, after I began taking the shots in my behind no more leg pains, no more redness.  Perfecto.  And, plenty of padding back there too!

Lately I've been experiencing pains in my right leg, especially when lying down. Is this a normal side effect? What exactly causes it?

Third round of treatment. Started with telprevir and peg/riba in August 2011. UND after 2 weeks. Stopped telaprevir in Sept. due to rash. Continued peg & riba with addition of boceprevir. Did 48 weeks. TX ended July11th. Labs UND as of August.
