Actually I completely forgot to ask. Any spasms with use or anything physical like cracking? Or with a heating pad? I do. I just don't know how I would have hurt it so I'm guessing just the med have me dried up I don't know I'm just throwing stuff out there. Thanks again.

I had back pain too, like when you have a severe cold....body aches.   Made it hard to get comfortable at night.  It got less and less toward the end and cleared up when I finished treatment.

Had a hell of a back pain for the last few months of treatment. Attributed it to age and being out of shape. Ended treatment on 2/17 back pain is almost all gone.

I get a good backache each week with my shot and it comes and goes throughout the week.  My yoga instructor has me doing binding poses that, as she says, "wring out the toxins"  like squeezing water from a sponge.  It really helps with the backache.  My own little theory  which may or may not be true is that the meds settle in the spinal fluid and need to be moved around.  I can almost guarantee I get a low grade fever after I do this, so something's happening.

Thaks everyone for your responses. I was actually Going to go to a specialist because of my previous issues but now I'll just wait 2 weeks because my last shot is Saturday. I'll see if it clears up. Did anything help with the pain and was it on and off? Every now and again my pain just disappears for a few Minutes and stretching/heating pad lowers the pain a little.

I had what now seems funny but on Sunday was a very upsetting experience. I was getting a cup of coffee in a cafe and got wildly dizzy. Had to sit for a long time with head between knees. BUT my back and neck were killing me so I was like one of those bird toy things dipping their head in water then bouncing back and back down and up. Head up OOOooo nausea dizzy, head down OMG my neck can't do this... Up lol. Another day in paradise .

I had back surgery 2 years ago. After my 1st shot I could not believe the pain. It hurt worse than the original surgery. Luckily, that has eased a lot with each injection. Still, lower back pain and aching hip joints seem to follow in the days after my shot. A good excuse to curl up in the lazyboy.

I had a very strange experience with back pain during tx.  I have had some lower back pain for years prior to tx.  During tx my back pain improved.  I'm pretty sure this is not the norm, however.  It reminded me of a funny story about a guy who was suffering from severe stomach pain.  Acting on a hunch his friend kicked the guy in the nuts.  Screaming in agony, the guy realized that he had forgotten all about his stomach pain.

Most lower back pain is muscular and muscle pains are fairly common sx of tx.  I would expect that to improve, and hopefully disappear, after you complete tx (which according to my calculations is in about 11 days, right?  Yippeee!).

For about half of my first 8 shots or so, I got incredible back pain. I shoot on Friday, and this would happen only on Saturday or Sunday, and only lasted a day. I was bent over sideways, not the usual hunched over forward. Very freaky to look in the mirror. I have had a bulging disk for years, but this was different. This has not occurred in a while once I started drinking lots and lots of water and quit taking the extra potassium, magnesium, and calcium for the leg cramps, which also pretty much went away with the water intake. My theory (and its just that) is that treatment is not going to make any pre-existing condition any better, physical or mental.

I have had some stiffness in my lower back, usually a couple days after my shot, and it lasts a few days, but usually goes away by the time the next shot comes. I also attributed it to the shots. Once in a blue moon I'll also get some knee and hip stiffness, and on those weeks the lower back is even a little bit worse. When I noticed the back pain most was when I had to bend over and stay that way for a while, like clipping in the back foot on a snowboard. I could barely stand back up, and had to hold my lower back with both hands.

I am beginning to believe that just about any pain, twitch, mood, itch, rash, etc. could be caused by these meds. I guess the trick is to listen to our bodies very attentively, and when something really "narly" (to quote kiwi) comes up, ask the doc. Otherwise, grab the lower back with both hands and stand up, skootch to the edge of the slope, and start down that puppy.

Alan

Hello everyone! I hope everyone is doing well. My last shot is this Saturday so I'm hoping for a smooth one. I love reading these posts even though I dont always post it makes me feel good there are people out there killing this thing too. I can read on my phone so it's easy. I do have one question: back pain. Like lower and into the butt. It's a pain in the butt (drums). Seriosuly though I'm a little worried. Anyone have an old injury come back or back pain? I hurt my back years ago but this isn't really the same spot, close however. Anyone's back hurt? I havent heard much about back specifically. I'm thinking I might be from the shots. I still work and whatnot but it's so annoying. Like knots but so much worse. Can the meds cause muscle tightness would probably be a good question too. All the other sides have gotten a little worse but I've been managing them well. Thank you god bless, Mike
