What a great attitude!  Take that full-body alligator suit and add deep gashes / sores where hubby clawed himself with the rash.  He's still gorgeous to me, but he's not too pleased with his appearance.  Neither of us has mentioned his beautiful silky hair being coarser and thinner.  Some things are just better ignored!  smile

Wishing all a good weekend!  God Bless!

Margo,
I'm in the same boat, shot   #11 going down in a few minutes.
So, is our "glass" 1/3 full....or 1/3 empty?

Yes, the snake-like skin, coarse hair that gets thinner each day and looks like a 'possom's back, the pale and ghostly face, these seem to be worst in late treatment. I didn't notice it much in the first 18 weeks, but right now I look like I am in costume for a scary movie. Not meaning to sound mean, but I am glad to be a man in this stage of treatment. Ladies care so much more about their appearance, and from that point of view these are tough times indeed. Alan

That is scary but true; is there like some oil pill or something available to help offset that?

I swear my stomach's growling for an egg salad sandwich!    wink

We just have to research about that... Otherwise just drowning ourselves in water inside out.

No Tim, I've been complaining as well...
My face is pale, I look like a ghost. Extremely dry skin, which I relieve with gold bond and cetaphil cleanser. Oh my hair! When I pull the strand between my fingers, it feels bumpy and so dry, it does not even lay, it stands up, gross. I found a recipie for A hair mask with mayonnaise and eggs, I have to try it on the weekend, people swear by it. Overall, I feel so drained, meaning drying out from the inside. This weather makes it even worse. Thank gd it's temporary but it will take a few month to completely restore yourself.

Well with all our other perceptions mildly screwed up, why not our tactile sensation as well?  Seems reasonable.

Then again, good chance she's lying to you a little as well.  biggrin

I've been looking in the mirror every day.  Is the hair thinning?  I'm not sure?  Well maybe just a little?  My wife tells me not really.

Then I go to the barber today.  First words out of his mouth: "Why is your hair so much thinner?"

Then again as side effects go, it's the least of our problems.  It will come back after treatment.  I just call it the "forecast" for 10 years down the road.

Have a great weekend Tim.

Having been on treatment now for a couple months, my skin and hair are certifiably trashed, skin feels like alligator hide and hair feels real course like a posum's.    However, my wife reports that my skin & hair are not as nasty to the touch as I report; is she just being a nice lady?  Or, is it possible that my own tactile feedback is skewed?
