My wife had a brief stretch on meds during my treatment.  During that time we would strap her half brain to my half brain and we were good to go!

Shep,

I'm glad to hear that you are having a great post tx resurgence!     I thought I had posted a reply previously but...it must be the dreaded brain fog.  hmm

Congrats Donna and Meghan.  After dragging our butts through treatment, almost every post tx day gets better. At 3 months post, I am amazed at the amount of energy I have.  Looking back, I think I was in worse shape than I realized (or maybe I was just trying to keep a positive attitude).  You've all got a lot to look forward to...

And Kiwi, just 10 more shots!! Been a long haul, but you're almost there!  Like they say "The only way out is through", and your almost there.  Well done so far.

And well done to all of you who have braved this thing.

Brad

I am glad to hear that the brain fog goes away!  I have never been a coffee drinker but found myself enjoying 2-3 cups of tea each morning to clear the fog...which goes away about 11.  I have one more day of ribavirin and will be free like the rest of you! :)

aloha,

Meghan

Lol, Phil I have been wondering if my off and on lack of enthusiasm was me or left over drugs. Of course it is the drugs . Things are progressively better here too. I do think when I really push it I get the "flu sx" I was promised when we began. Not sure that is were it is from or if i am eating bad fod each wekend and sufferng fr it Monday. i never tried to push it on tx so not sure what t would feel like if idid. So glad to hear you are feeling better Shep. It was a long haul

I still have a brain, too, but I also seems to have a natural or inherent scatterbrain and lazy streak. Combine that with the habits and excuses I picked up in tx, and it might be a long slow road back. Going the right way, though.

This is so encouraging as I was just talking about if anything actually improves after treatment is finished. I am half way through. I feel mixed. Lazy, energized, lost, lazy, impatient, tired, bored, confused. Any hope that I could find any of the humor and energy again is encouraging. It comes Back?!? Hopehope

Hey Donna, so good to hear you're coming into the clear, and I'm sure the dogs will get over it soon, if only they could understand what you have been through. I also wonder how many folks out there are dealing with this without any support. You have been an amazing trouper and you deserve all the best life has to offer. I hope you will check in on us here frequently, I for one would miss you terribly should you go away. But I understand those who have finally slain their dragon, would want that to be a part of their past. Blessings of light and love, Iris

Hey Folks--who knew it was hiding in the fog! It has been an amazing first week post-tx. The first 5 days I had the strength of Hercules, the patience of Mother Theresa and slept like a sweet little baby--then I crashed. But in spite of the momentary set-back which was brought on by over doing physically and emotional stress of some family issues -- I still have a brain. It is so nice to have thought process and not misplace everything I touch. The only major issue with not being on a med schedule is the 6 pm revitalize the riba rage dose which was also time to feed the dogs. All this week about 6:30 the dogs are looking at me with sad puppy eyes wondering if they will ever eat again.

I do have to remind myself to slow down and take it easy cause not completely there yet--but it's better. I owe so much to this forum--all of you have been my support and I appreciate it soo much. I keep checking on everyone's progress. Keep up the fight--need some more dead dragons.
