alexm,

Welcome to the forums & best of luck with your treatment!

The itch & rash advice is spot-on, everyone should have them tatoo'd somewhere on a forearm!   wootj.gif

Hello, This my 2d time thru treatment, first was a washout. Now I am half way thru Triple Med tx. So far so good. I have controled the itch (almost no itching this time. Last time I swear I felt like I was vibrating w/itch) Whats the difference:

1. No caffaine, period. Not cut down on caffaine but none.

2. Keep chugging water, most of the itch comes from dehydration. Drink water.

3. Stay out of the sun, period.

4. Benedryl is a wunder drug for us. It will vitiate some itching. Also helps w/nose bleeds & insomnia. Just don't go nutz w/the stuff.

5. Calamine lotion, the old struff your Granny put on yer skeeter bites. Still works on rashes, etc.

6. Also don't forget plain old vasaline.

These are over the counter items, still you should run it past your Doc first.

I use all of the above plus I use Rx item, Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream USP 0.1% Say that three times fast.

Afrin helps on nosebleeds, just use it cautiously, My doc sez once per day. Also Vasaline & Neosprine 3X Strength on blisters.
