Post Incivek

Friday night shooter

Sat mostly ok till later in the afternoon...slugish and yucky

Sunday mostly slugish, Sunday night typical low grade fever some loss of voice, crupie

Monday - Friday     better to best and best is not so wonderful, but the high point

Incivek, a real crap shoot to include week to week variances

My husband takes his shot Monday evening and does feel extremely off for 2-3 days.  I think he is coping well though and has had minimal time off work.  So that has been great for keeping his routine going.

He is coming up for his week 12 blood tests on Friday, so it will be 2 more weeks on top of this until we find out if he is undetected.  We do feel confident, but it will be good to see the results in black and white as, you may or may not remember, my hubby's week 4 viral load test was rendered unusable due to machine malfunction.

Glad to hear you're tracking along ok.  My hubby must be about 18-19 weeks behind you.

I was a Friday 5 pm shooter. Friday night was OK, generally busy and out and about, and turned in early. It started Saturday morning, initially around 10 am and got progressively earlier. It was over by Sunday noon. I kind of judge it by how much tylenol I took, typically 500 on Friday, 1500 on Saturday, 1000 on Sunday, and just occasionally during the week. The severity was unpredictable, sometimes fairly functional on Saturday, other times couch ridden. The frequency of naps alos increased throughout tx. That's the only thing I miss.

Malcolm,

I remember the cycle, Sat & San actually uneventful, but Mon thru Wed feeling like trash.

If anything at all was going to get acomplished that week, it would be on Thurs or Friday(before the shot).

I noticed a weekly cycle right away, and blamed it on the shot. Like most of the others in this thread, I didn't feel the shot right away, but it crept up over the next two days. The funny thing is, and I have not heard others say anything about this, but the cycle slowly "mutated" from month to month, so I had weeks where shot day was good, bad and in between, and every other day of the week would change accordingly. It was a slow change in the pattern of the cycle. Kept life much more interesting.

Does anyone else have a distinct weekly pattern in their Sx? Since about week 10, I am rubbish on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. I improve somewhat on Thurs., Fri., and Sat.  I presume this is Inter. related but not sure why ( we are supposed to have a fairly constant blood level). The severity of the Sx also varies from week to week. 4 weeks ago, Spring had arrived and I was generally feeling a bit better even on the bad days. However this week has been dreadful- on Tues. I stayed in bed all day and slept for 18 hours, and on Wed. I almost went to have an urgent Hb check. My head was spinning, severe headache, couldn't stand without support and short of breath at rest. I admitted to my wife that unless things changed, I was considering stopping Rx. Next day (Thurs) felt OK again. It really makes it extra difficult when you don't know what each day will bring. Suck it up, Malcolm.
