Very good news, Malcolm, great, and it`s got to be good hearing that you don`t have any cerebral atrophy...I`d be jumping for joy! wink  All the same those migraine headaches must be excruciating, hope they`re a passing phase and don`t hang around.

Glad you`ve got some warm weather to enjoy now!  It was really nice to see a photo of you with your lovely lady wife, having our families around us is such an incentive to carry on even when the going gets tough.

Take care, you`re getting there...thumbsup.gif  Jill xx

Hi Malcolm,

Relieved to hear that all's well with your eyes smile It's one of those sx that needs looking into properly ( no pun intended ) as you know.

Thanks for being here for everyone too, despite having to endure such a long and difficult tx yourself. It's much appreciated!

Thanks all. Kristy, I agree my wife is more attractive than a blue fin tuna! My eldest son is 40yo today, and just spoke to him and his family. They are holidaying on Crete, so it's a great incentive to get through this and get back to a 'normal' life.

Haven't checked in for a couple of weeks, but am glad to hear that you're eye is ok.  I suffer from migraines and have to take preventative medication every day, so I can tell you that they can be pretty severe and horrid.  In this case, it's the lesser of two evils, so I'm glad your eye checks were all clear.  Congrats also on your 30 week UND which I read on another post.  My husband has just started Week 14 and next Monday we should find out the Week 12 VL test result.

Thanks for the pic change.....lol......at least I know somebody who's enjoying the weather, although it is beautiful here today.

Glad it was not the tx causing the problems.  My wife gets those nasty migranes once in a while. It does not look like fun at all. My brain is too small for anything like that to fit in there, at least that's what she tells me. Have a great day or should I say morning?

Keep moving forward.

Must be a world record for getting an MR and Neurology consult! The MR brain and orbits was completely normal- no brain tumour, normal optic nerves and sheaths with normal opthalmic arteries and perfusion. Pleased to see I don't have any cerebral atrophy! The Neurologist could not find any problems and is certain it's a migraine. Possibly related to the Rx and/or stress and he gave me some hints to avoid triggers. Basicly he cannot give me any effective treatment at the moment, so grin and bear it. I'm much relieved. Thank you for your thoughts Kiwi and Kristy and thanks for the link Greg. Jim, it's 35C here, so I've reverted to the fishing avatar as requested.

Glad to hear it is nothing too serious. I noticed at times my vision was a little blurry and I had some eye discomfort, but it went away thankfully. I've never had a migraine, but I've heard they can be terrible.

Malcolm, I'm hoping that the neurologist can discover both a cause and a cure to provide relief.      I would hate to see you forced to stop treatment, you've endured way too much horse$h*t; to stop now would be such  a heartbreaker..

Hi Tim, when this started again I thought of you and wondered whether things have improved. Glad to hear you may be on the mend. My eye guy wants to see me again in 2 weeks- he is rather confused and a bit concerned. Great!

Malcolm,

I was just thinking of you and your eye situation; was going to PM you...must be ESP.     My swollen right optic nerve is[I believe] healing somewhat.    Still light sensitive in lower third of field of vision, and I see bizarre artifacts when in dimly light room.

Your eye situation doesn't sound like fun at all, and would be scarey.

Dear Lord, may we all be rid of the dreaded virus...may we all survive the cure in one piece.

Amen.

Two months ago I had episodes of severe R eye pain. I saw my Opthalmologist who checked my eyes, pressures etc and said they all looked normal. I'm worried about optic nerve neuritis which may be an interferon Sx. He said it could be a wierd migraine and to come back. Sure enough, for the last two nights, severe R eye pain woke me from sleep. Accompanied by nausea, blurred vision, sweating and low BP(90/45). Back to the doc. today, still normal vision, normal fundi and optic discs, normal pressure, no haemorrhages or retinal detachment, normal visual fields. The pain lasts for about an hour then subsides and vision returns to normal. The opthalmologist can't explain it. My Hepatologist is away for the next 5 days, so I'll leave it to then. Life on Rx is certainly interesting!
