Unfortunately, Rocky's treatment didn't work out cry He has posted about this in another thread and as it's not possible to move part of a thread, I'm putting the link here to Rocky's post and the responses from other members.

The list is a bit obsolte but very promising ... Seems that there is a healthy competition outthere. For new meds as well as generics of the existing ones will be breathing the neck. This should make HCV treatment options wider and cheaper.

Thanks for posting this  By the way   The one   Bristol-Myers Squibb / Pharmasset  from the site you sent is the one that should have went to phase 3 and is on hold and could have been available in 2013

Great news Rocky  very happy for you      Love your Idea for Halloween costume LOL

a 12 week tx That's really good to hear  as Iris says hope the put that out on the market soon I'm curious what the expected success rate is

to see how many others did it and what % will achieve SVR ( Non responders ? with Geno 1 ?  and cirrohis ?)

It would be a huge help to get an effective 12 week triple drug tx  even if it still has  Ribv and Peg it brings us closer to an oral Tx with little side affects 99% of us would have opted for what you did in 12 weeks   than the 36-48 week horror we got   Were not done yet    We still need to keep after Gilead  for that 100% cure with Bristol Meyers no Ribv and no Peg

For the newbies    There is no doubt 7977 seems to be the drug to watch

please read this regarding 7977  and sign the petition     http://www.change.org/petitions/gilead-sciences-please-collaborate-with-bristol-myers-for-the-cure-for-hepatitis-c-now    If you havent read anything about GS 7977 it's a good place to start there is much more out there    If I could stop tx now and switch I would

again good news Rocky

Well done, congrats!!! I have heard about that one, they expeect the tx to be reduced to 4-6 weeks over time. Trials and FDA approval may take another 2-3 years though, before it becomes available to all.
And then its hopefully gonna be a completely new HCV free era !

On October 5th I finished up a 12 week clinical trial with Pegasys, Ribavirin, and GS 7977 from Gilead.  Since they won't release the results to us until all the participants are done, I had the VA run new viral load tests for me.  Took 2 weeks to get the results back, but both test came back "target undetectable"  Woo Hoo!!

Just reading those words put new energy into my life.  Good luck to the rest off you, and I hope 7977 works out and becomes available to all.

Happy Halloween  (I'll be the one dressed as a happy man)
