Dearest Malcolm--I love that you are stubborn. I was trying to think up all kinds of reasons NOT to take those last few doses--but I swallowed and cussed. Let the recovery begin!!!

Fainting....I'll be glad when you're finished with tx, Malcolm. Take it easy until those blood numbers get better.

Way to go, I know how it feels and I still have a ways to go, Any hope of a couple of bags for a transfussion to bring you up.  It  helped me to stabilize.  Only difference is my Platts are still high, best wishes and good luck and yes we males seem to have that affliction of " I will finish this even if it kills me" that includes banana splits as well as medications.

Get better. they reduced my riba to 600 also. But in my mind it's the Vic doing it, which they can't reduce.

That riba is a bee.....octh sometimes. I couldn't walk up a flight of stairs at the end without huffing and puffing. I felt light headed but I never fainted. Be careful.

You must be stubborn to stay on tx for all these weeks. Why stop now? lol.......2 more days and you are a free man.

It will feel weird not taking any meds. But I think you'll get used to it.....almost home brother.

1.5 days - good on you.  I will be so interested to hear how you feel when you stop treatment.  I am hoping you will feel like a million dollars.

My Riba was dropped down to 600mg from 1200mg because of my anemia. Hb still hanging around 8 and that is with weekly Procrit shots. Hang in there!

The low Hb is from the Riba, with potentiation from Vict. Low platelets and WCC are from Peg, and don't cause symptoms. My doc gave me the choice of finishing 1.5 days early. Being stubborn and stupid, I'm going to carry on and finish on Friday as planned.

I'm very impressed with my Lab. After my wife called my doc after my fainting episodes, he organised for a Tech to do a home visit to collect my blood!

I've been fainting so doc. said get some urgent bloods.

Hb- 7.1 (71 here)

WCC- 1.7

Platelets- 36!!

Thank goodness I finish Rx in 1.5 days or may not be here to tell you about it. I'm going to have a serious talk with my doc about Riba reduction for future patients.
