My doctor told me. I have a slight swelling.

Hi Brian,

How do you know you have 'swelling' ? It cannot be seen on Ultrasound!

Was your gallbladder normal?

With normal LFT's and an Undet. at 12 weeks, you will not have liver inflammation, and your 24 week VL will stay Undetected.

You will be one of the 90% of patients with ' liver pain' where no cause can be found.

If the pain gets worse, go see your doctor. Cheers, forget about it.

TY for the reply. Yes I have 4 liver. My 12wk. Liver test were all normal. Is it normal to still have swelling with normal liver functions After 20 wks. ?

Hi Brian,

A liver Ultrasound cannot show ' slight swelling'.  Liver nodules are a feature of cirrhosis.  In your first post, you mentioned your liver biopsy showed '3.5 out of 4'. This is a strange figure- biopsies are Staged as F3, F3-4 or F4.  If Ultrasound shows nodules, you are probably F4.

Liver pain may be due to acute inflammation. In this case your ALT would rise- do you have copies of your last few ALT levels? There is no other likely cause for liver pain.

Ever since I have stopped incevek 9 wks. Ago I have felt a growing ake where my liver is. It's like I felt right before I started Tx.(like bruse).  I've had a ultrasound done last week and it showed  a slight swelling and a few noduals. My next VL test is march 7 (24 wk). Anybody else have this or in the know? Of course I think right away it's back.
