Thank you for the replies and encouragment. I have been away from the forum for a few days I needn't to get my head straight. I'm ok still feel tired and drained, I was disappointed with my viral load but I think I was sort of expecting it!

I was dejected for a bit but I think I am lucky as reading people's experience my liver is still in a pretty good condition. Hopefully time (I'm 35) is on my side and I can wait for new interferon free treatment. I've asked my doctor for a biopsy to see what situation my liver is in, the last one I had was 7 years ago.  He's suggested a fibroscan first. Anyway onwards and upwards!!!

Once again thank you all for your support and listening when I desperately needed someone to. I'm sure I'll be popping on when I need a moan!

Hi Dopey,

Sorry the Leadin didn't work for you. Your doc is correct, starting the Antiproteases would be a waste of time as you are obviously Interferon resistant. As you didn't start the AP's, you are able to go on a Trial that includes an AP (such as Abbott) or try to get on one of the Gilead Trials. You need an Interferon free treatment so ask your doc whether you can get on a Trial. Don't despair, something will work for you. Good luck.

Hey Dopey

That's a real bummer, but the future has not been wrote yet.

There is going to be a lot a of future choices for your type of situation, and your body can and the HCV might migrate back in time to its form before the treatment.

I read a few articles on this problem but Mallani / Malcolm would know a lot more about how boceprivir might change your future treatment.

Anyway as long as there is hope, there is a future for you.

Matt

Sorry to hear that Dopey, but as Malcolm pointed out, it`s a sensible decision to stop now before adding boceprevir.

Great progress is being made with the new interferon-free treatments which are currently being studied and so you have good reason to be optimistic for the future...your day will come!!  s  And if you could get into a clinical trial it would be great.

Look after yourself, and keep your chin up!  We`re here any time, stay in touch.   Hugs, Jill xx

Hello everyone

well I went for my appointment today and along with the doctor have decided to stop all treatment has because I had not responded to the SOC in fact my viral has gone up! It was 1.3x10*5 at the beginning to 9.7x10*5 !! So anyway I guess it's a waiting game for me again. The doctor did say that the increase in viral load is not concerning as it can fluctuate. And he said I recommend that because the boceprivir only work with the interferon and ribavirin by introducing boceprivir my chances of clearing are lower and I risk becoming resistant to future drugs.

I'd just like to thank you to everyone for their support and kind words, it truly was a help.
