Sounds like most everyone here has had some kind of rash during or after treatment. Did you talk to your Doctor and or a Dermatologist about it? They can see what it is, the severity of it and offer some kind of treatment accordingly.

Some of the rashes especially those with the telaprevir treatment can cause life threatening conditions. Always check with your doctor if this is included the treatment.

Brendale,

Hang in there! My doc prescribed a basic hydrocortisone cream for my skin. I have sensitive skin and had the full range: itch, burn, bumps, scaly bumps with scabs, open bumps.  Back mostly, but also my forehead and sides of my face. Lovely.  Cortisone cream, Advil and I just lived with it.

I trust you will find what works for you.

I havent been on my treatment very long, but a few days ago I woke up with a rash. Started on my feet, now its on my knees, legs, wrists and arms. And it is way itchy!!! ER said it was a reaction to the medicine. So I just started some itch cream and some generic clariton.  I see my doctor friday and hope it improves!!!

Bob, sorry to hear that they stopped your treatment. Maybe one of the new drugs will work out better. Don't know what your rash looks like or where it is located but I developed what they think is Lichen Planus (you can google this) on both my forearms which itches quite a bit. Have you had the rash biopsied? Or is it to wide spread?

I've posted about rash before.  Nine days ago I had to stop meds because of extreme fatigue and worsening rash.  My energy level has improved relatively quickly as has the fog.  My hemoglobin was pretty low but I can tell that it must be improving.  But the rash, now nine days later remains awful, terrible itching and raised and red.  I have used multiple moistening creams and also a steroid cream.  ANyone have any experience with this?

Arms, shoulders, back, belly and legs.  Raised, red, itchy, maculopapular.  Itching worse at the end of the day.  Has not been biopsied, the assumption was that when I stopped it would get better.  It was the same during treatment but not this wodespread.
