What to do is the question?.I hope someone might have some answers to our dilemma.

I really don't know how i got the Virus,it could have been from a number of situations.I didn't even know i had the Virus until i was

told through my Gen.Dr.through blood work in the late 90's and was told i have Rheumatoid Arthritis as well.Were talking almost 15

yrs.ago.But i can tell you the experience was not comfortable;with poison going through my system because of my Liver not working

properly,causing me to fill sick at any time:I could fill it coming on as well.My Wife told me i was yellow at one time,i think i remember

my eyes being yellow as well.My Gen,Dr.stated to wait on the RA and concentrate on the Hep-C first i reluctantly agreed.We want'ed

to see if my body immune system would kill the Virus:To No Avail.I started to experience very sharp pains in my Liver area and i knew

something had to bee done ASAP.I wen't through a Liver Biopsy ;it was negative.I was approached through Wake Forest Hosp.in 

ref.to Pegasys & Copegus treatment for 14 months it eradicated the Virus with-in months.Turns out i don't RA;through my initiative 

And the internet i have come to the conclusion the drug treatment is the problem.Now i can't work to my full potential,i had to shut 

my Business down as well.And the Government does not won't to help me at this time.I feel my MAKER led me to this and it's all for

a reason.I would like to know what others are doing to survive without working.Good luck.

Hardly guinea pigs!  Interferon has been around since the 1950's and Ribavirin was first synthesised in 1972. Riba was found to have activity against both RNA and DNA viruses, and Interferon was a naturally occurring immune system booster. The initial Rx of HCV was Interferon, 3 injections weekly. This went on from about 1994 to 1998. There was some success. It was decided to add Riba in 1999. A very high dose of Riba was used initially and the Riba anaemia was discovered. From 2000 on, Inter/Riba was used at tolerable doses and SVR rates of ~20% were observed. When interferon was pegylated to produce a once a week injection, the SVR rates started to improve. Also the length of treatment was increased from 24 weeks to 48 weeks, so across the board SVR rates rose to ~40%. This was in about 2002, and here we stayed until the Antiproteases appeared in 2011. After that, the current explosion has taken place.

There is no doubt long-term Interferon can have long-term effects. It's been blamed for everything. Personally, I have had a total of almost 3 years of Interferon since 1998. If it has helped me achieve SVR, I'll gladly accept some Sx.

Hello! What's your plan? You didn't mention what your treatment consisted of or when. Why don't you give us something to consider and I'm going to guess the conversation will be a lot more fulfilling! I look forward to hearing your story.

We the people of the Pegasys and the Copegus order.

What to do? is the question with so many issues after the drug therapy,from Chronic fatigue,Painful joints throughout the body,

damage thyroid,depression,vision problems,come to find out these chemicals have damaged our brains somewhat.I have been off

the chemicals for over seven years and my issues are getting worse!.During the process i had no side affects:We our all different with

different responses.Beware.Don't get me wrong i'm glad i wen't through the treatment because my Liver was showing signs of

serious issues and pain;sharp pains:My MAKER led  me to it.I need help to prove to our Government that we/i need help.
